The only good thing about the property is that it is in the middle of Istiklal street. Other than that, the staff don’t speak English (I had to use sign language). The receptionist would just barge into the dorm at 3:00 am and turn on the lights and rattle around then leave. It is too expensive to be considered a hostel given that they have no communal kitchen, no decent bathroom, no amenities to use. I would recommend this place only because of the location.

The pictures shown are completely different from the state of the place. The bathroom was dirty a nobody cleaned the areas during my stay, even my the shelf where I can put the stuff had a peace of bubble gum. The location is super near of the noise, so if you want take a rest is imposble.

El hotel deja mucho que desear en cuanto a limpieza y comodidad. Las instalaciones son pequeñas. Lo que más me molesto fue que tuvimos que hacer el test de COVID en el hotel y vinieron dos personas que supongo ni siquiera eran enfermeros. Lamentable. Ni siquiera nos dieron una copia del recibo. Supongo que el encargado de la recepción se quedó con parte del dinero. Cerca de 500 TL cuando en el hospital cuesta apenas 180 TL. No lo recomiendo a menos que quieran estar cerca de la peatonal. Mucho ruido en las habitaciones.

Super location!

Bad experience with Lavanta hotel

Well, first of all we were supposed to stay for 3 nights in the hotel, we arrived early so we were asked to wait until the time for check in and so we left our luggage in the reception and returned when the time was right. When we returned we were told that our room was under maintenance and that we will be transferred to a near-by hotel in the same street that was only a few blocks away, of course we were mad because we were lied to when we arrived in the morning because they claimed that the room was being cleaned, they didn't see there was a problem was this and didn't apologize too. We told them that they should have told us before coming by e-mail or phone and that they didn't respect their clients. Moreover, they stated that the breakfast will be in the old hotel so everyday in the morning we had to leave the hotel they made us stay in to go have breakfast in Lavanta hotel. No need to say that the other hotel had no elevator and we were staying in the fourth floor and no one offered to help with the luggage until my husband asked them to do so. When we arrived, we found out that the rinser in the toilet was not working and they kept saying everyday that they will get it fixed but they did nothing. They also didn't clean our room until we asked them to do so even though our reservation included room service everyday!

Well located. Staff is willing to help. My room was good. It was small, modern and tidy. It did not face the street, one sleeps well. Breakfast was fine.
