Kafkas Hotel was in the middle of the city center, which made it very convenient to see the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, go on the boat cruises, dine at the many restaurants, and pick up souvenirs! The concierge was really kind and nice, made sure we were safe and they lock their doors at night, too. The rooms were recently renovated and it is pretty clean. Breakfast was free and included, which was nice! The elevator is a bit tight but we managed!

I did not like any thing about this hotel , I supposed to stay 8 days but I stayed only one night . The staff and the manager are so rude and aggressive, the room they gave me looks at water and istalation and other pipes , it is noisy in bad location, the terrace is small and by a series of open bathrooms, I had arguments with one of the staff and the manager and left the hotel . I am intending to ask for refund , they need to pay back the nights I did not stay there .

Picture of hotel are not as accurate as they show. I believe Hotels.co need to be careful about it. Small rooms bathroom had mold, some of the people spoke little English. For the price not worth it.

Great place to stay with a limited budget

We stayed two days at Kafkas hotel on way back to US. The rooms were clean, staff were great, and the breakfast was good. Most of the interesting sites were within the walking distance. Tram station is also within walking distance. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

A Well situated hotel

The hotel is basic but clean and all the facilities work fine. The room was quiet and comfortable, very convenient for the sights of old Istanbul, and very close to a tram stop.

Excellent service by hotel stuffs

Very good service. The hotel is located at convenient place, streetcar line is next to door. No safety deposit box in room but there is at the reception so no big deal. I would stay here again

Interesting IST

The hotel staff were wonderful-our airline changed our flight time to leave much earlier. The staff understood what the problems were and got us an "emergency" taxi and we made it to airport on time.

Great location near Sultanhamet!

I arrived late at the hotel. They were expecting me. The room and key were ready. The hotel is right in front of tram line(some noise if you're facing the street but convenient for touring) and in between two stops. Taxi dropped me off a few meters away. Temperature was okay in the room. The washroom is clean. The wifi for most of the time is okay. The breakfast was coffee, tea, juice, bread,jams,figs,boiled eggs and lots of cheese. The concierge was very helpful. The morning call for prayers from the nearby mosque will wake you up but makes for an authentic experience!
