The only thing this room had going for it was the view... but every resort in the keys has a view! We got the king oceanfront for a night (happy it was only a night). The porch was nice but the room looked cheap. None of the sinks drained. The tub didn’t drain while we were showering so we had to stand in water and the water took about 5 minutes to get warm. The light in the bedroom turned on by itself at 5:54 AM THREE TIMES!! Like what the hell??? The couch was sinking into itself. The pillows on the king size bed were like tiny little twin bed pillows, not what I’d expect. The Keurig wasn’t put back together right so we had to mess with that just to make some nasty old coffee that we didn’t even drink. I’m sure there’s more there was just too much to take in in one night. Just don’t stay here. There are so many places on the keys to stay with a view... find somewhere worth the $$$. Wish I could get a refund.

Hotel Review

The hotel room was good. There shouldve been a stove in the room I had and basic kitchen dishes, as well as a small kettle. The fridge was very tiny, barely anything could fit. The offered continental breakfast wasnt provided. In the reception desk, coffee and tea with nutrition bars were the only things served as "breakfast". No place to sit either because it was in the reception. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful

This was a hidden gem.

Pros: views, pool, clean room and grounds. Things to do with out leaving like kayak / paddle board available on site.
Cons: only thing that could be improved music by the poolside, pool side bar,
We were very happy with this resort. Friendly staff, clean room great views. Plain to book here again.

Home away from home

You never be quite sure what to expect when booking off these sites. We were looking for a cheap getaway and stumbled upon this package. From Miami the drive was quick. This place is really in a perfect location. About halfway between Miami and Key West. It's quiet. If you're looking for exciting night life this isn't for you. If you're looking for a place to enjoy your thoughts, scenery, and significant other or family this place is for you. The room was clean, beds were comfy, kitchenette was nicely stocked and the showers had excellent water pressure. Full size refrigerator, stove, microwave. Plenty of space it's like a small apartment. My one and only complaint is they allow pets in the rooms. I get it...pets are like family and I can live with it for a few days. Big patios with furniture to enjoy the evenings! Pool and pool area was great! Breakfast is served every morning by the pool. Your standard... bagels, cereal, muffins, coffee, juice, fruit ect. Enough to get your day started. Staff is very friendly, helpful and always available. There's no beach here. Honestly, I don't think there are many places in the Keys with beaches. All in all this was a great place to park my butt and enjoy a relaxing few days in the warmth! Happy I stumbled upon La Siesta!

This resort is not what it appears to be in the brochure.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: Nothing close
We arrived a half hour early and our room was ready to check in. That was wonderful as we had been on the road since 530 that morning. We got into our room and when we opened the door, a very strong aroma of perfume hit our nasal passages. It was soo strong that it burned our throat and passages. We went upstairs to check out the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs (we had the 2 bedroom suite). The headboard of the 2 double beds were off of the wall. The shower curtain of the upstairs bathroom was torn beyond belief. The kitchen floor by the refrigerator was dirty on the first floor. The aroma of the perfume stuck around the whole two days we were there. It was way to humid to open windows to let the smell out. There was no screens on the windows. The dining table had a glass top on it and you could see the food from patrons past underneath. There was also bugs that appeared from underneath the glass. The refrigerator did not work. The maintenance man came to fix it, but could not. He brought an ice chest for us to use for two days along with ice bags. The freezer worked great. The staff was very nice, I must say. They tried to be accomodating. There was three of us - all adults. and the housekeeping left us with 2 bathtowels, two washcloths and 1 shower mat and three washcloths. Not enough. The view we had from our balcony was wonderful. It was a view of the Atlantic Ocean. The add in the brochure and the internet ad is totally wrong for the two bedroom suite. The ad shows that you have wicker furniture for the patio. Not so. It was the white resin chairs and a small table on the balcony. The wicker furniture is for cabin 101, which is a 1 bedroom. The hamocks are right infront of the one bedroom cabins. If there is someone in the cabins, then you are out of luck for the hamocks. The pool is wonderful. It is beautiful and very warm. I would not recommend the 2 bedroom suite at all. It is old, run down and not what they promise. The other units look very nice and the resort itself is great.

Great location and views, needs work on maid service/cleanliness

Cons: No free Internet
Nice location, great views but bad maid service. Room was not cleaned consistently - mostly not at all. If they improve the maid service would give this hotel great ratings for most everything else.

This hotel is nice and a great place to relax.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
This hotel was nice and we had a great time. The kitchen allowed us to make a few of out own meals and save some money. The area is wonderful and offers plenty to do and was quiet. One of the only things we were not too happy about was that one of our window's didn't shut all the way and there was no way to open or close it. This wouldn't have been a problem if the guests who had their balcony next to that window weren't smokers. Every time they went out to smoke our living area would smell like cigarette smoke. La Siesta is also a good place for families. There is a pool, fishing, bicycles, grills, and even a place to rent kayaks and other water sport equipment. It is a nice hotel that is well kept.
