Ants on my feet

Office help minimal. Disrepair everywhere you look inside and out. ‘Breakfast’ consists of muffins, cold cereal, 2 juices and luke warm coffee with only dry creammer packs. Woke up second day to hundreds of ants swarming the bathroom floor (our feet) and tub with a stream going to garbage can. No AAA discount on top of it all.

Beds are stiff as a board. Friendly check in and clean. Room had a fridge and a balcony which I didn’t expect, but was nice. If beds were more comfy I’d stay again.

The smoke detector had been removed. During my 3-day stay, no attempt was made to replace it. There is no work desk in the room, and there are no plugs along the walls except those already in use by the TV and fridge. It was 85° in the room when I entered it; the air conditioner was not on and there were no instructions how to use it.

Good place to stay in Novato

We were early and were able to check in anyway. The staff was really great! Very nice and accommodating. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy. Quiet even though we were by the 101 and tracks, but i never heard a thing. We had 218, a room with the jetted tub. The room was big, and it had a nice balcony with a sliding door. Love that! The tub was huge! Love that too - I'm 6'4" and don't fit in most tubs. So if this is you too you might like this room. The fridge was pretty big too. We were in town for a thing, and some stuff, and the location was convenient. My only complaint was that the continental breakfast was basically non existent. There was a few muffins and some cereal. We skipped that, was hoping for more. Overall we liked this spot and would stay here again.

I checked in on Friday, room very basic but clean, hallways and public areas dirty, elevator dirty - and when I was in the elevator the power went off trapping me in it for over an hour. Back from dinner and wifi and tvs not working at 9:30 pm. I checked out and made other arrangements for the weekend.

The lady at the desk was friendly helpful efficient & interactive. The room was fine as always, and a short walk/short drive away from everything in Novato. I have stayed here a number of times in the past & will continue to do so. Also of interest, the hotel is a very short walk from the San Marin SMART Train station, which can create myriad travel possibilities.

Recall also, i had 2 separate reservations. I did not do what they said i did. They stole my $100 cash deposit then lied to me and the cops. I made 2 reservations. Why did they not mention this on the first one? They kicked my door in because it would not open for me on the outside. Room 312. Horribleexperience. I know they were listening to my conversations which is an invasion of privacy. Then when they didn't like what they heard then they do evil things. Customer service is poor too. This behavior is not acceptable and i suggest you always take your business elsewhere. NEVER BOOK AT THIS PLACE.

This people ask for $100 deposit and then steal it. They plan never to give it back to you. I checked out 30 minutes early and gave them their keys back. The lady on duty said bye as if that was it. I said " can i have my $100 deposit back?" She thought i forgot about what i have a receipt for. She said we have to check the room. Now they never gave room service any night i was there. She said they will keep my deposit because oil was on the bed. Whatever was in the sheets was there before i came. I never pulled back the covers even. What i had on the bed was my suitcase of clothing. No oil in them. All my products where sitting on the sink. They lied on me stole my money. Then called the cops to defend their lie.The cops were rude and told me to leave the property and sue them. It's aweful that you have to steal from customers. I would never refer anyone to this location and i will never go again. Aweful experience!

Price/value was fine, but I have many pictures of the horrible conditions inside the room: laminate flooring buckled and peeling and manyarge areas, spots and stains showing the place was not mopped, water flowing from handle of bathroom faucet, hot tub jets not working despite being told hot tub was working. I shared this with the front staff, twice but only got shrugs like "what can we say, we only work here "
