The Alpine Aframe - Cozy Cabin with Barrel Sauna

Welcome to The Alpine Aframe, a charming cabin nestled at over 10,000 feet in the Rockies. For eight months, this cabin was our passion project. We thoughtfully remodeled the space to create a serene and elevated atmosphere. With two cozy queen bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, and high-end yet simple amenities. The cabin is a 5 minute walk to the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead and a 25 minute drive to downtown Idaho Springs. It's located in a quiet neighborhood but feels remote and tucked away in nature. This mountain retreat has everything you need for a relaxing, tranquil, and comfortable stay.

PLEASE READ THE BELOW INFO BEFORE BOOKING:
We recommend purchasing travel insurance in case you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances or events not covered in the cancellation policy. A four wheel drive vehicle is required from October 1st-May 31st, we will not provide a refund if the roads are open but your vehicle cannot make it. During these months only 1 vehicle is permitted since you will need to park at the base of the driveway and walk up the short driveway to the cabin. No additional parking spaces are available. You must be able bodied as the drive way and stairs are steep and can be slick when it snows. You’ll have to clear a path on the deck when it snows during your stay. Fire place usage is not allowed due to our insurance policy.

Nothing was more beautiful than driving up to see the glad lights of this secluded cabin welcoming us in from the winter snow, the diamond-sharp stars twinkling on us from above. If you are looking for an incredibly peaceful, cozy, and well-cared-for cabin getaway, this is the place. The cabin is situated in the heart of a lovely lodge pine forest, close enough to town to make amenities easily accessible, secluded enough to feel private, and within easy walking distance of the iconic St. Mary’s Glacier. The hosts have thought of everything, from coffee making equipment (very important!) to a plethora of puzzles and games. The decor is tasteful, the furniture comfortable (we’re looking for some replicas for our own home now!), the sauna magical, and the ambiance supremely relaxing. We cannot recommend this cozy Colorado gem highly enough!

If you are looking for a simple escape from the Hustle and Bustle of the City or even another state look no further. So quiet and serene. Just listening to nature around you, the sound of the nearby stream. Nice secluded gem in the mountains. Look forward to coming back during the winter time and enjoying this cabin in it's true element. WONDERFUL HOST! GREAT COMMUNICATION AND VERY ACCOMODATING!
