The staff -- especially Margaret and Raychal-- were wonderful to work with, friendly and accommodating. They were the best part of the stay! However, the 2nd floor (of 3 floors) is "half smoking, half non-smoking", which means the whole hallway smells like an ashtray. Our "non-smoking" room on that floor had smoky air coming in under the door-- yuck. They switched our room to another floor right away.

Was given a handicapped room right across the corridor from the indoor pool. No countertops in bathroom. Showerhead was spraying water everywhere.

We looked into your reservation and you were booked a handicap room through travelocity so we apologize for their mix up and the showerhead has been since fixed. New furniture cannot fix everything...

Pros: I liked the convenient location and the fact that they had the free continental breakfast.
Cons: They could offer hot eggs and a breakfast meat like sausage or bacon. The only eggs they had were hard boiled. Waffle had to be made by hotel staff.
Location: It was very convenient for Huntington, WV and the Tri-cities area. We went to the antique shops in downtown Huntington and there was lots to look at.
When we checked in to the hotel we were told they were in the process of renovating and not all the rooms were done. Ours had the "dark" furniture which meant that it had been done. When we got to the 2nd floor (3 floors total) we noticed the old smoke smell in the hall, although all the doors had no-smoking signs. Obviously it wasn't always non-smoking. The room was OK as long as the air was turned on. Otherwise you would start to smell that old smoke smell. We tried to connect to the wifi that first night with no success. I asked the front desk clerk the next morning and she said she would reset the router and that should fix it. It did not. We went out for the day, came back that night and she said it was still not working and that tech support had been called but they didn't know when they would get out there to fix it. On the 3rd evening, they had a letter posted saying at front desk that it was not functioning but they were "working diligently" to get it fixed. It didn't seem like it from their attitude when asked about the status. We were there for 6 nights and the wifi never did work. The spa was not working (filled part way with dirty looking water and not running) and the pool didn't look inviting so I didn't bother trying it out. Although it was conveniently located for our needs I wouldn't recommend. I'll stick to newer hotels that have been designated as non-smoking since being built.

Very nice and convienient.

Room was comfy and clean as were the facilities. The staff was also helpful. The location is good as it's right off of I-64 and very close to Marshall and downtown. Plus, the free parking beats the downtown hotels.
