This hotel is a club. At 3:30am the walls were still shaking and the music could be heard word for word from the 7th floor.
I called Expedia whose representative called the front desk. The hotel manager laughed and said “Well this is the Moxy” then hung up on us. Now, I have stayed at the Moxy in Nashville, NYC and NOLA. We love a great vibe and bar. Especially on a weekend out. THIS WAS NOT THAT! This was in bearable still at almost 4am. Their biggest argument was that there was a noise cancellation device in the room and would offer ear plugs. The noise cancellation device couldn’t be heard over the vibrating of the bass from the DJ below.
Will never ever stay at this location again.
Now onto Expedia customer support. I stayed on the phone with a manager for 1 hour and 45 minutes before I was finally issued a credit. I travel monthly for pleasure and have only ever called one other time years ago. I believe customer loyalty should be considered when issuing valid credits especially considering the manager was having to almost yell just so I could hear him over the music blaring through the paper thin walls and windows.
Horrible all around except for the bartenders.
