The people were lovely, the breakfasts filling to start the day, and the Treehouse room I had was wonderful! Loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the backyard. Peaceful.

It was a real flea bag. Please don’t take anybody else money to stay at this location. Then you had the audacity to tell me no cancellation and no refund. Y’all got to be kin to Trump

This guest booked but never showed, stayed here or called. The reason why he wasn't able to cancel was because of Expedia's policy not ours. We had staff here from 6a-midnight so very easy to check in. The Modern bb has been in business for 16 years and the Menil museum sends their guests here as do many arts organizations and businesses. We are in Montrose area which is a high end neighborhood, walking distance to museums, restaurant etc. Our building has been in Dwell magazine and southern Living.I Do not think these publications would feature fleabags. In any case I think this is his way of trying to get a refund. We are a small independently owned business and we have long term very loyal guests. We treat our guests with dignity and respect and believe that if you have not stayed at the Modern than you should not be able to review the modern. Best Regards
