Valet parking is on Rusk st

After driving around hotel for 25 minutes dodging trolleys and mass people I found valet parking which isn't at the front door of the hotel. I then checked in and hostess says she's heard a lot of complaints about valet location but obviously they cannot put it on websites and travel booking sites. Upon entering my room the tv was in pieces on my bed as they were working on it so I couldn't take a shower as expected. It was a clean and comfortable room and close to Minute Maid park 5-10 min walk. They did offer to change my room but I was walking out door to the Astros game. Upon returning and showering I found out the tv still didn't work so they changed my room after having unpacked. No compensation were offered.

Not a 4 Star

This is nowhere near a 4 star hotel. The rooms are not clean, carpet is cheap, wallpaper is ugly...

Great Value

Pros: comfort, location, great price!
Cons: front desk smiles
The biggest complaint I read before staying was about their curt front desk staff. This was accurate. You do your own check-in , check-out. But while not "Marriott" friendly, they did give me restaurant suggestions and a good jogging route. But the quality / comfort of the room and the location made this a great deal for the money. $30 less / night for limited front desk service, that worked for me! Will stay here next trip!

Hotel in downtown Houston

Pros: I liked the location in downtown Houston and that it was within walking distance to restaurants and bars.
Cons: The staff could be a lot more friendly and offer actual customer service, bed sheets could be changed, and more room.
Location: This location was in downtown Houston that was within walking distance to many restaurants and bars.
I had to drive around the block multiple times to find a place to park to check in. When I walked inside to check in, the lady behind the desk did not have a smile on her face or ask how I was doing, when I said that I wanted to check in she pointed to the kiosk behind me and said "you check in yourself". I felt as if I were bothering her and would annoy her even more if I wanted to ask a question. Valet parking was $25 a night or I could drive a block down the road and pay $20 for overnight parking, so I did the latter in pouring down rain. The room was very small and there was not enough towels for 2 people comfortably. The bed sheets were very uncomfortable. When checking out the next morning, again I felt I was bothering the worker behind the tiny desk when giving her my second room key. No one asked how my stay was, if they could offer any help finding anything, no suggestions for restaurants/bars/things to do on a Friday night..I would not come here again.

A Good Hotel in Downtown Houston

Pros: Comfort and conveniences
Cons: None--it was what it was
Location: The theater district was close-by, but otherwise there was little to do
An old, but nicely remodeled hotel in downtown Houston. Like many older hotels, the room was small, but commodious. The check in and check out were via computer, but the few staff were courteous and helpful. Eating facilities at the hotel were minimal and the area had few good restaurants. Better for those doing business in downtown than for those on holiday.

Great location. But…

Cons: More pillows, less noise.
Hotels have one job. A good night sleep. In this, Club Quarters failed. The room I was given had elevator (or some mechanical noise) all night long. I requested a second Zillow and the front desk (finally talking to someone after 4 tries) told me they were out of pillows. Really? A hotel is out of pillows? Hmmmm Everything else was decent or better. I like the self serve coffee/Espresso machine. The room was very small, but like I said earlier, I was there to sleep, not move in. I'll pass on making reservations again, and find someplace that gives you more than one pillow…

close to everything

I really enjoyed my stay at the Quaters Hotels, just one small mistake with the room on the first day. Very nice personal, super clean and neat. I would stay there again.

Houston Marathon weekend

Pros: Spacious
Cons: shredded sheer curtains
Location: nice location
The room was very spacious. Staff was friendly. Requested a late check out due to being an annual marathon participant (increased rates but I know why). Said 12 pm is usual, gave until 12:30 without a $60 surcharge. The room is one mile away from the race finish with many blocked off streets for cab or pedi-cab, or walking access. I recognize rooms need to be ready for 3 pm new check-in but not every guest was a runner, or if they were, could finish earlier. We asked for late check out and came back at 1 pm and were charged the extra fee, non-negotiable/unwilling. I asked "since we told you late check out, did you bring on more staff to have rooms ready for 3 pm check in". Was told no, "company policy". Local staff tried to be friendly but had o flexibility...or so they said. The town (and hotel) made a boat load of $ on this annual event, would not recommend a place that had zero flexibility to an annual event like this. If anything, build late check-in into your price structure and avoid this potent conflict at check out...especially if readying rooms for Sunday night check-in guests...few this time of year at this hotel. They locked us from elevator and room which cost us an hour to resolve!
