We did not stay at E-Cono Lodge... The place has a bad reputation and we decided to go elsewhere once we saw which Motel it was...

Never Again! Booked 2-nites - Stayed one

Pros: Staff was polite
Cons: Total remodel
Location: Easy access from interstate. Nothing to do nearby.
Check in was easy. Staff was polite. Room had musty odor as soon as we walked in. I think the carpeting was original to the building as was the bathroom. Could not stay the second night because of the conditions.

Pros: Hotel staff was very friendly and very outgoing.
Location: Pioneer Tunnel (coal mine tour and train tour)
The hotel was located right behind a restaurant called the Dutch Kitchen which was excellent. We even received 10% off our bill when we ate there.

The room smelled !!!!!!!!!

Apparently Choice Hotel cares nothing about it's customers . This is the second motel I have booked with and it is twice as bad as the first!! The smell was awful and when I questioned the motel housekeeper she told me all the rooms were that bad and gave me some air freshener . NEVER AGAIN

Good value. Decent, cheap hotel. Friendly staff.

This hotel is no-frills but comfortable enough for a quick stay. The staff was very friendly and you could tell they were actually trying to take care of the place (unlike other Econos i've been at). I had already given up on Econo Lodges after some awful ones but decided to try again because of $ and online ratings from many sites. I was also impressed with the size of the room (we got a 2 double bed one). It was shaped like an L and there was enough room for my 3 yr old to play.

Terrible

Filthy. They charge for pets but there is no place to walk pets. A snarling 380-pound man works the desk. DON'T DO IT.
