Thank goodness my daughter new how to ping her apple airpods. Asked to check the room, and no one had seen them. Pinged the airpods and not only where they not in the case, they were hidden in a room behind the laundry room. Most hotels would contact a customer to let them know they had found an item. NOT this place. The cost to replace the charging case cost as much as the room. Dishonesty never pays!

AC was off upon arrival. The AC should be left on a minimal setting to at least keep the moisture down. The room felt a bit humid until running the air for a bit. The hot tub was out of service. The did a great job with breakfast considering the facilities. I also liked that the breakfast area was accessible all day allowing use of the microwave or to grab a piece of fruit.

Surprisingly Nice

Pros: Staff, pool, price, cleanliness, breakfast
Cons: More water pressure so that all of the settings of the shower head could work.
I was worried that because it was smaller and further off I-70 that the conditions would not be that great. The front staff and cleaning crew were exceptional with their service and attentiveness. The room was very clean. The shower head wasn't spitting out as much pressure as I would like but it was adequate. My kids had a great time in the pool and hot tub. The shallow end of the pool had a three-tier step into the pool that spanned the entire width which made it a nice safe place for the little ones to play. The deep end of the pool had seats in both corners allowing the kids who were treading water to rest without having to get completely out of the pool or return to the shallow end. The breakfast was good also with biscuits-n-gravy, sausage or bacon, and eggs. They also had the waffle and other items to choose from. The juice machine included apple, orange, and cranberry juice.

Great stay. Friendly place

Haven't stayed here for a few years. Thought I would give it another try as heard they had remodeled. They sure did. New carpet, floors, sinks,wallcoverings, They were friendly. Had a great stay.

Didn't get what you pay for.....

We had reserved a King Size Non-Smoking room. When we arrived, we were given a King Size Smoking rm - which we can't stay in. We went downstairs to complain and they gave us a Queen Size non-smoking room and no change in the price. A customer in line after us requested a Queen size room and was given a cheaper rate ($* less) for their room and we were unable to get the price difference when they didn't have the room we requested available - BEWARE!!

Disappointed in the value for the price

First the positives...the room was quiet and made for good sleeping. The breakfast was really good with biscuits and gravy and waffles, along with the tradiitional continental breakfast items, and the lady did a great job of keeping the area clean and stocked. The negatives...the bathtub in our room was disgustingly dirty with a filthy soap ring. It could have been cleaned with a little effort ,so there is no excuse for such a dirty tub. The headboard fell to the floor when we were lying on the bed watching tv. The pool was nice but when we were swimming, it was leaking who-knows-what into the pool from the floor above us. I was disappointed in the value received for the money paid.

However, I would like to sincerely apologize for the conditions you experienced during your stay. Since your stay we have trained our housekeeping staff to provide guests with the clean rooms they deserve. We have also completely replaced all of the furniture on our property, and issues like the one you had no longer occur. The leaking pool room ceiling was also repaired soon after your stay. Our hotel does not tolerate maintenance problems such as this. We would like to thank you for your business and we hope you would give us another chance to provide you with an exceptional stay.

Would stay here again.

My family and I are from Colorado and travel to Kansas every year. For 2 years now we have stayed at the Quality Inn Hays. We have never had any problems. There are many resteraunts near by, the pool and hot tub are good; especially after a long drive. The room is comfortable for a hotel room and quiet. We will be staying here again.
