This used to be my go to hotel when visiting family. Breakfast was almost non-existent with only waffles, bread, and orange juice. There was cereal but no milk. No plates except tiny ones that the waffles did not fit on. Coffee was gone and apple juice was empty. This was 8am on a Saturday. The room was not very clean. We had double beds for 4 guests, but there were only 2 towles and 3 pillows so we had to ask for more.

Spend a little more and go into Hays

*The hotel smells so bad of marijuana first of all. I almost felt like I was going to get a contact high. *The pool area is in serious need of a scrubbing. If they had better ventilation it wouldn’t be this bad with the mold, mildew and rust. If you are needing the handicapped lift for the pool you might want to think again. It’s rusted and I wouldn’t trust it at all. *The elevator has broken floor tile, and tape over some of the buttons like they broke. *The room itself looks to be updated but they didn’t clean up the construction dust. The air conditioner unit is so full of white construction debris. *We didn’t make it to breakfast as it was already cleaned up at 930am on a Sunday. I thought it was open till 10 on weekends. Oh well Overall I would “splurge” on a different hotel in Hays instead of this one in Ellis. For $89 a night it’s not worth it to have the awful smell of marijuana in the hotel and stuck in the bedding and towels.

Parking area was fine. The guest laundry has a single washer and dryer. Cheap. Two and a quarter to wash and dry a load. Facility was clean and comfortable. Breakfast features waffles, yogurt, sugared cereal, oatmeal, boiled egg, bagels, etc. No sausage and eggs in a warming tray. All was fine but for the constantly blaring television. .

It was convenient for me to get this hotel. Just be aware, you get what you pay for. Got the hotel for a discount of 80$, but when I arrived in the room, I checked the restroom and the toilet was dirty. Elevator buttons broken. Thin walls( could hear the next person snoring). And didn’t feel safe there. I had to keep watch out the window for my car. No security. It’s nice for the convenience but in Kansas, one night is all you need. Again, you get what you pay for

The rooms were horribly filthy. My feet were black walking on the hitel floor. There was so much dirt in our ac i had to put a towel over it for a filter. Ring in toilet, ring in bathroom. Totally unacceptable in my opinion

Unfortunate and kind of obnoxious.

We arrived late at night, since we just needed a place to get some solid sleep on our road trip. The guy that checked us is was friendly. But then it quickly started to go downhill. Firstly, there was a bright light on the wall that lit up the entire room, even when all the lights were out. (It's the thermostat) Then the refrigerator was making loud noises on and off all night. At 9:AM there was the knock on the door and a lady entered, waking us both up. I had gotten maybe 4 hours sleep by then. Then again, as we were actually waking up, another knock and enter by the housekeeper. Mind you, the do not disturb sign is on the door.
