Great location in south Kona

We had a great experience staying here. The condo was clean and quiet. The location was great and the staff excellent. The only minor thing was that if you got back late you may have no parking near your unit. Probably just because the section we were in was booked solid. We were really pleased with this complex and would definitely come again.

Wonderful experience!

Pros: Large spacious areas. Full kitchen with everything you could possible need. Washer and dryer in condo. Beautiful views and very clean. No charge for parking.
Cons: That our towels were only changed every four days. Seemed like a waste of water to run a load of laundry for clean wash cloths.
Location: Botanical gardens, black and green sand beaches a must. snorkeling at two step- don't miss it.

Pros: Gardens and friendly staff. Every thing worked.
Cons: The pool bar and restuarant were closed for repair.
Location: You must go to the beach about 1/2 mile down the road and see the sea turtles.
The resort was so peaceful that sometimes we were torn between going to the beach or volcanos and just staying in.

Great vacation condo

Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness.
Location: It's in the middle of everything. Shopping right down the street, easy to get to some really great beaches, the volcano is a couple hours away
This was our third time staying here. We love the staff. Very friendly and helpful. The pool was under remodel, and the restaurant closed which was too bad. Overall you can't beat it for the price and location.

This place rocks on the affordability chart... exceeded all of our expectations. Stopped at the farmers market and nearby grocery store on our way to the resort and enjoyed fresh fruit and breakfast each morning during our stay. Fridge, freezer, washer, dryer, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, dishwasher,... all in the kitchen and ready for use! Decorated well, clean, and comfy. I'll be back the next time I come to Kona!

Extra time-share condos - no timeshare pitch

1st room - A/C didn't work. Moved immediately to a new room 2nd room - nice. some noticeable wear and tear, but still pretty nice. There are 'bugs', but no more than you will see in any hot, humid place. Apartment sized washer and dryer in the kitchen. There is noise transfer from upper floors, so you might want to ask for top floor if that bothers you. No outside noises. Grounds - nice. Nice pool, and rental for snorkeling. 5 minutes to kahalu'u beach for snorkeling. 15 minutes to the center of Kona. Shopping across the street from the entrance of the complex.

Close to some nice beaches and restaurants but ...

Pros: The area and the rental price.
Cons: The entire resort needs to be refurb'ed. Attention to the details in cleaning and maintenance.
Location: All water sports, shopping, restaurants and sightseeing.
We are owners for more than 10 years and brought our daughter & family with us to Hawaii. While the resort is located in a very nice part of Kona, the company has been less than careful in keeping the resort in good shape. Attention to detail and pride in the product is lacking. Things like water damage and trash uncollected displays an uncaring attitude among the cleaning and maintenance staff. While some pests can be expected in Hawaii, leaving trash outside invites the nasties to take up residence. This resort is now a part of the Wyndham group which seems to be more interested in volume than in quality of product. When we tried to explain our dissatisfaction with the resort to the salesman who was trying to convince us to buy more points, he ignored our concerns citing the excellent diversity of ways to use the prospective new points. I would say that the very cheep price of renting a condo is a super plus for non-owners but I expected more for a property in this highly attractive area, as an property owner. The front desk staff were excellent. The overall cleanliness was fair. The pool was good but shows signs of aging. The restaurant was ok; food fair and prices a bit high for the quality. Cleaning and grounds staff were friendly enough but seemed to lack motivation to do more than minimal work keeping the resort clean and tidy. The mattress was rock hard and furniture uncomfortable. Stay for the area but don't expect much from the resort.

My Birthday present

We came on Friday and I had called earlier to make sure I can get a bottom floor room being my knee s poor, I also expressed I had family Traveling with us and would be easier to go back & forth if they were closer, they completely took care of us. the pool guest shop had great prices for gifts and to rent things. The pool cafe was great and the staff were very friendly. We used the bbq for dinners and I don't know about anyone else but I like to eat in and cook or have access to make a quick sandwich etc loved my kitchen and so happy when I saw we had washer & dryer. Loved our outside patio with tables & chairs with a beautiful view and close to the pool etc.. Birthday dinner at The Fish Hopper was amazing we had got a great discounts given to us from the resort. I would definitely stay there again! ! Aloha and Mahalo! !

Good value for the money

Pros: We liked the space, fully equipped kitchen, free parking and general location.
Cons: Get rid of the musty odor in the bedroom.
Location: Marina is close for boat/snorkeling trips. Restaurants and Long's (CVS) are close.
We stayed in a one-bedroom unit with a master bath, another full bath, a living room and a fully-equipped kitchen. Plenty of room. The balcony overlooked the common grounds between units, although I swear I asked for a partial ocean view. The bed was comfortable enough, but the bedroom smelled musty likely because the master bath has little air circulation without the fan on and they don't air condition the units when not occupied. Parking is free and there is no resort fee. The location is 5 miles south of Kailua near the Sheriton, so you are far from the action and the crowds. A shopping center with a Long's (CVS) Drug Store, restaurants, movie theater and gas station are near by. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Spacious accommodations at a decent price.

Pros: We liked the space, the completely equipped kitchen, and the free parking. The staff were polite and helpful.
Cons: Air out the units or change out the bedding or leave the fan on in the master bath to eliminate the musty odor from the bedroom.
Location: The location is 5 miles south of Kailua near the Sheriton. A shopping center with restaurants, a movie theater and Long's (CVS) Drug Store is close by
We stayed in a one-bedroom unit with a living room, kitchen and two full baths. The kitchen was completely equipped so you could prepare meals if you chose to do so. The decor, flooring, etc. was dated and the bedroom smelled somewhat musty, probably because the bathroom had little air circulation when the fan wasn't on and they don't air condition the units when not occupied. The view from the balcony was of the common grounds between units, although I thought I had requested a partial ocean view. The location is south of Kailua near the Sheriton, so you are some distance from the action, but there is little tourist traffic to offset that. The parking is free and there is no resort fee. All things considered, it was a good place to stay for the price.
