The Brown is a very special, classy beautiful historic hotel. The rooms were large and spacious, the bathrooms were very clean and modern, the old time ambiance was outstanding and the staff was exceptional. We will certainly be back!

The hotel itself is historic and so beautiful. We ate at both restaurants during our stay and had great experiences. The rooms were clean but had a very moist, damp feel throughout the stay. They could use some updating to the fixtures, painting, etc. Rhe bed was very firm but my husband was very comfortable, so that's subjective. Ultimately was a very nice stay.

Property was lovely and hope the owners would keep it up to the standards of the original hotel. Some of the areas definitely showed signs of destress where maintenance was needed, dust was on the windowsill, furniture, on lamps and especially the downstairs lobby entrance. Would love to see this historic hotel brought back to its prime.

Everything was great except: I don't understand the flat sheet on the mattress, instead of a fitted sheet. I'm not a good sleeper as it is, but after tossing and turning all night, to wake up on a bare matress that hundreds of other people have done the same, was disgusting. USE A FITTED SHEET! And your valet needs work! That is the first and last impression of your hotel. They don't even offer to open doors for passengers as you pull up, a couple of them had zero personality. OPEN CAR DOORS, especially for women!
