Stayed for Thanksgiving
Rented to cook Thanksgiving dinner for my son, in the Navy, so he wouldn't be alone on Thanksgiving. Communication with the property owner was wonderful. They responded immediately to the few questions I had. The property is easy to find in a centrally located area of Hampton. It's very convenient and close to stores and restaurants.
I would suggest to the property owner to please get some lamps. There is not a single soft light in the property. It's all bright overhead lights. There are also no night-lights in case you need to get up in the middle of the night. The cookware, dishware, and utensils are awful. The one large pot was so worn that it was peeling and rust flecks were chipping off. we had to go buy some pots, pans, knives that were actually sharp, and plates that were microwave/dishwasher safe. In the bathroom, no soap, no shampoo, or conditioner were provided. I did not see a hot tub, the stools were missing to the kitchen counter, and there is only street parking. Parking was not an issue, but it is street parking.
The place was cute, for sure, I still think it was well worth the price. The accuracy of the listing was just not very good. There was a washer/dryer with laundry soap, there was diswasher soap, and the WiFi was very fast.
