They are doing a renovation at this time so the property is a bit of a mess. Only 1 of 2 SMALL lifts were working during our visit. My room had been renovated so it was very nice.

It was a wonderful stay and would highly recommend as long as there’s no construction in the hotel. They started hammering and drilling early. When we checked out, I told them construction in a hotel can’t be that early. She asked what time and said she would let the manager know because they weren’t supposed to start until nine. Walking distance to shops and dining, and we walked to our cruise.

The hotel was under construction and we couldn’t locate the actual position on sat nav, however the staff did apologise and made it up to us which ended up being a very pleasant stay. We shall go back next year when we go on our next cruise.,it’s incredibly convenient for cruise parking

We checked in yesterday, check in was great, room is great and view of the cruise ship as requested which is a bonus. Went to the bar in the evening, my husbands card was declined 4 times with no reason, tried my card again same thing happened, it was a issue with the card machine, no apology was just laughed off even when husband said that did no good for my heart condition, this then happened to others whilst we were having our drinks.

New Look to Established Hotel

Arrived to find hotel reception newly opened after recent renovation. Very friendly staff but perhaps getting up to speed. Room had pleasant view towards QE 2 terminal. Evening food and breakfast were both excellent.

We had arranged a later arrival, as we had an after hours event at Stonehenge. We were cruising The Aqua, and they gave us a lovely room with a view of the port so we could see the ship. That was so special! We had rented a car from Eurocar in London. We checked in and dropped our bags off, and the drop of location was 2 blocks from the Hotel. Totally walkable! We enjoyed cocktails and light bites at the bar. It was perfect! The Cruise Terminal was walking distance, but we opted for an Uber with our bags. It was fast and affordable! I would absolutely recommend this Holiday Inn for anyone Cruising out of Southampton or otherwise. Thanks Holiday Inn Southampton!

We spend one night here before our cruise. It was easy to get to from the National Express Bus Station. There is a very big mall within a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is under construction. So there was noise in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. The elevator is small and slow. The room is clean and spacious with a nice view. The breakfast buffet was good. There are two coffee/espresso machine in the lobby.
