Staff was friendly and accommodating. Lobby and restaurant area was bright, clean and updated. Location is perfect for accessing much of the city’s attractions, all within walking distance. Our room on the first floor was surprisingly outdated and in desperate need of a deep clean. It was comfortable enough and we would not complain as the price was more than reasonable.

Although I’m not able to walk, this hotel is close to the waterfront and many shops and restaurants. Parking is more difficult but did not affect my stay. I believe there is a parking garage near by. Check in and out was super fast, the room was clean and had everything I needed!

The room was unbearably stuffy, there was no AC worth mentioning. The beds were comfortable but the room furniture was more than 40 years old (I'm being generous).

The Barrington Hotel was in a good location in Halifax. It was a quick walk to the waterfront and all that area had to offer: great restaurants, beautiful harbor etc. Our only complaint was the parking situation. We had to unload our car in front of the hotel and then park across the street in a random garage. In the morning we brought everything down to the lobby and I went to get the car and I had a hard time getting back to the front of the hotel, facing in the right direction so we could load everthing into the car at once That was our only complaint. We were only there for 1 night.

The hotel and rooms were nice however the parking was such an inconvience as it was in another building and driving to/from the location with o lme way streets in a busy downtown area was awful. Dealing with luggage wasn’t ideal

Nice stay here.

I enjoyed my stay here. Parking was a little expensive and not on site. No room service but the food and drink was good in the restaurant and the servers were great. They also prepared food for me, i just had to go pick it up. All staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff were happy and friendly. I stayed 3 days. Downtown Halifax was fun. Clean big room.
