Was stuck in Toronto due to a snow storm for over 24hrs. Called the hotel/expedia to just change my room to the next day and the hotel refused the request of expedia and wanted to also keep the money for a room that wasn't even used. In the end expedia had to fight with the hotel and got my money back and all i wanted was a room to stay in for the night when i arrived in halifax. Thank you expedia but needless to say I did not stay at the hotel and will not consider staying there on my next visit to halifax.

Hotel is dated however I reserved based on reliable parking, costs and transportation to Halifax Airport. Which they extensively advertise via social media, billboards and on hold when calling the hotel. Checked in 9pm and out at 2:30am to catch flight. After 45 min wait - no shuttle service as it was in a ditch. Front desk advised it would take 60/90 min for transportation. Myself and another guest could not get any Ubers or cabs at 3;15am so we took my car to airport parking or we would have missed our flights. Because of no shuttle it cost me double for a 1 night stay. This is a warning to guests staying at this property that it appears they have no back up shuttles for unexpected events and depending on what time of day you are checking out there may be serious concerns on trying to get to the Halifax Airport by Uber or Cabs in the area. Buyer Beware

Positives: - Staff was so friendly - Shuttle was prompt and driver was friendly - bed & bathroom clean Cons: - There were nail clippings beside the bed. - Bed I could feel the springs and my back was shot in the am. - If your room is to the left of elevator half of them you have to drag your luggage up a few stairs. I was ok but if you struggle with mobility and lifting it's not compatible. - the room service food is horrible - outdated room Overall definitely not my 1st option but in a pinch it works. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Shuttle driver was friendly and shuttle ran right ontime. It is first come so I would suggest 15min before it comes to be in lobby.
