"The hotel’s location is very convenient. It is within walking distance to the subway station and bus stops. There are also a couple of tourist attractions nearby. You don’t have to worry about food as there are several restaurants and convenience stores nearby that is if you wish to eat outside the hotel. The room was cleaned every day. The staff was nice and respectful. They spoke enough English so that we could understand. The breakfast buffet was good; although it did not change much from day to day. There were eggs, bread, bacon, waffles, fruit, yogurt, salads, coffee, juice, etc. There is a laundry room but with only 2 small washers and 1 small dryer. It is free though; they even provide the detergent. In summary, I would return to this hotel or maybe another Shilla Stay, 🙂"

"clean rooms with modern design, and rich amenities including washer/dryer, AC, clothes steamer, safe. The free breakfast is also decent, and the location is close to major tourist spots. The only issue for American tourists is the small rooms (500 square feet for a two bed room suite)."

"The Shilla Soedaemun is at the highest end of budget and none the worse for that. Breakfast is pretty good with Western and Korean options. Room are a little on the small side but quite serviceable - we found there was ample room for two. The metro station outside gives good access to Seoul’s sights, but the hotel is 20 minutes walk away from Seoul Station and there is no easy metro connection - it took us 55 minutes on the metro, most of which was spent walking from one line to another . The hotel’s “Seoul staton” monicker is very misleading"
