High end comfort without being stuffy. Gorgeous property. Spa services were exceptional. Staff so courteous & professional. One on my best hotel stays in all my travels. Highly recommend.

Great hotel, terrible service

Pros: The amenities, the pool, the great rooms, the rooftop bar Luna, the cleanliness
Cons: The service
Location: Anywhere off the Jardin is good food and shopping. Good all purpose store: Mega. Shopping: Mixta, Casa Katalina, Recreo, Chaskis, and so much more!
This is one of the most amazing hotels I have been to, and I've been to countless hotels... Beautiful architecture, clean, amazing pool, fabulous rooms, etc. But the customer service is worth warning people about (this is my first review ever, so that is how strongly I feel about it). Between the language barriers and, what I have to assume are their laid back Mexican ways, the service you should be receiving for the price you pay is just not there. I booked through Travelocity which was super easy, but the concierge at the hotel had misplaced my reservation... After a long wait, they told me it had in fact been there the whole time. They took my credit card number at check in, and then hounded me the whole trip saying they needed the number again and again. They cater to the wedding guests as VIPs - but not the regular guests, who are likely the San Miguel regulars like myself. They don't go out of their way to assist the guests. A friend of mine was able to convert $500 of her American dollars into pesos, but when I attempted there were no Pesos left. Not a problem, but when I returned when they told me they would be ready I was again pushed aside telling me they were not available. This happened several times, and when I finally caught them with pesos they told me the limit was $100 per room... which was obviously not the case.
