The Queensbury Hotel
"There are some hotels that become destinations all by themselves, and for me, The Queensbury was one of them. Growing up, it always seemed like one of those grand historic hotels where only fancy, wealthy people stayed. So as an adult, I finally decided it was time to experience it for myself. The history and charm are definitely part of the appeal. I loved the beautiful old-fashioned lobby, the vintage indoor pool and hot tub, and especially the live music in the lobby on two evenings during my stay. It gave the hotel a warm, nostalgic atmosphere that you don’t find very often anymore. The location is another huge plus. It’s right in downtown Glens Falls with a lovely park across the street, and it’s an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. It was also the perfect location for visiting my family. I traveled with my service animal, and every member of the staff was kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which I truly appreciated. That said, I did feel the hotel was a bit pricey for what the rooms offered. I stayed in a queen room, and it was quite small. The bathroom was especially tiny, with very little counter space to set out toiletries or get ready in the morning. The room itself was clean but fairly plain and lacked some of the character I was hoping would match the grandeur of the rest of the hotel. Overall, I’m glad I stayed. If you’re looking for historic charm, a wonderful location, and a glimpse into a bygone era, The Queensbury delivers."
