What a hidden gem. Cute as a button too. Extremely well stocked with kitchen and bath items. Sara was great to work with too! I will definitely stay here if I'm in the area again!!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This a-frame is adorable! The welcome basket and stocked kitchen is so thoughtful and goes a long way. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay to the fullest. Would recommend a stay here!!

A truly memorable experience

Our stay at Hygge Chalet was wonderful! The cozy atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy some quality time with the family. The view of the mountains add a nice touch to the peaceful surroundings. A truly memorable experience—we’d love to come back!

A wonderful stay @ the Hygge Chalet

We had a wonderful stay at the Hygge Chalet. It was a perfect getaway. The Chalet was located in a wonderful spot, With wonderful accommodations. It was far enough in the woods to feel secluded, but close to local entertainment, hiking trails, great restaurants and coffee shops. Enjoyed every minute of our stay!! Perfect getaway!

We spent a lovely 6 days at Hygge Chalet during the peak of Aspen leaf color. To find such a remote yet accessible place so close to Denver was a gift. We brought most of our groceries and enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen and eating on the wraparound deck. The word I kept thinking about in the chalet was "intentional" as every detail and decorating item seemed curated for a restful, fun, and functional stay. The hiking information provided by the host including Alltrails links made getting into the aspen groves easy, and so many world-class hikes are within short driving distance of the chalet. My husband and I especially enjoyed the Marshall's speaker connected to the Hygge Chalet Spotify playlist! A great soundtrack for our stay!

Wow! What a great kept secret!

Amazing little place that is so easy to get away to! Just one hour from Denver. The Hygee style the chalet embraces really fit with our “getaway into coziness mentality!” Second time staying here. Will come back again!

Perfect Weekend Escape

This place is bliss. Just one hour from Denver but we felt a world away. Stunning views, clean and cozy. We were extremely comfortable and appreciated all of the thoughtful touches from the owner (snacks! robes! slippers!). The sauna is perfection. We will definitely be back with regularity whenever we need some R&R!

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay at Hygge Chalet more than we did - unless we had stayed longer!! The house was just oozing with charm and extremely functional. the listing is 100% accurate and the chalet is even more than that. Peaceful, comfortable, cozy, restful. Sara was a wonderful host and very attentive to communications. Spent one day visiting Breckenridge for a sleigh ride and dinner. We can’t wait to return to Hygge Chalet.

Cute and cozy!

This spot is so fun. I love the decor, the amenities, and wow — the sauna was amazing. It was such a great way to debrief and it was exactly what we needed. The games and books are perfect and the fireplace was the perfect way to heat the a-frame and keep cozy. We loved the little welcome snack basket and definitely enjoyed some hot cocoa. Would definitely come back!

We didn't want to leave!

We were lucky enough to spend a few days at the chalet with our two boys (ages 10 and 12). We could not have been happier with the space, the ambience, the amenities, and the accessibility of the hosts. We spent the weekend playing games, coloring, doing puzzles, and cooking meals, all within a space full of natural light. When it was time for us to pack up and go, not one member of our family felt ready -- we could've used a few more days. :) Thank you, Hygge Chalet!

Relaxing Getaway

We would recommend the Hygge chalet for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. The cabin itself is incredibly cozy and has everything you'd want, from the comfortable furnishings and stunning patios to thoughtful touches like a delightful tea selection, bathrobes, ambient mood lighting, and a variety of games. The location strikes a perfect balance—it’s not too far from Denver, making it easily accessible, yet it feels secluded, nestled deep in the mountains. There are several beautiful hiking trails nearby, with options for all skill levels, from easy walks to more challenging treks. We especially appreciated the sauna as a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Our stay was easy, fun, and exactly the rest and reset we needed. Perfect mountain getaway

The Hygge Chalet was everything it promised to be and more. It's clear they've put a lot of effort into ensuring their guests feel taken care of while staying at the Chalet—from the delightful snacks in the kitchen (which came in handy!) to Sara's responsiveness to my questions. We got snowed in on the last full day of our stay, but we couldn't have asked for a more peaceful place to watch the snow fall. Sara also coordinated with her very kind neighbour to plow the path down the hill so we could make it back into the city to catch our flight the next day. 10/10 would recommend. We can't wait to come back again!

Hygge Chalet

My wife stayed at the Hygge Chalet outside Grant, CO just after the 4th of July and we truly loved it! The charming place was exactly as listed, and Sarah was very responsive to the couple questions we have. Everything is pretty much covered in an onsite guide, so take a few minutes to read it. It would have helped if I had read the guide prior to trying to turn on the sauna. The chalet was absolutely clean, and we loved sitting on one of the decks for either dinner of morning coffee. I appreciated that it was at the end of a road, isolated, and provided a lot of relaxation. As we live in Denver, we are looking forward to our next visit.

Perfect nature getaway in a cozy A-frame

Our stay at this charming A-frame house was absolutely delightful! The two-bedroom, one-bath home is incredibly well-appointed with modern amenities, ensuring comfort while maintaining a cozy, rustic charm. Nestled in a secluded area, the property offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. We particularly loved the hiking trail right out the back, perfect for morning walks and immersing ourselves in the serene environment. The outdoor sauna was a wonderful touch, providing a relaxing way to end our days. One of the highlights for us was the absence of TVs, which encouraged us to unplug and enjoy quiet reading sessions amidst the tranquil surroundings. The location is also ideal, being close to the town of Bailey where we found numerous great restaurants. This A-frame house offers the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature!

Best Stay EVER

No exaggeration, this is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The chalet is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in the mountains. It has everything you need during a weekend away - things that you might even forget while packing for a vacation! The owners of the property are quick to respond with questions you may have. It's sooooo cozy and very clean. There's a fireplace in the living room that makes you just feel tranquil. I enjoyed cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and sat in the sauna many times to decompress. There's a private trail next to the property and snowshoeing shoes are at the chalet for guests to use (multiple pairs). I can't express enough how much I loved it here. And I know for a fact I will return in the future. It's too pretty and lovely to not go again :)

Our favorite getaway

Our 3rd visit to the Hygge Chalet was just as magical as the first. There was quite a lot of snow this visit, which was extra beautiful. We had a great hike up the hill and enjoyed tromping around in the snow. We did some sledding down the driveway and got our exercise pulling the kids back up! We visited the Shaggy Sheep for lunch on Saturday and drove up Guanella Pass, which was a fun outing. It had been a few years since we stopped at the waterfall and we had a great time rock hopping! We took full advantage of the sauna. The robes and slippers are such a cozy touch. We always love the curated playlist and even found a few new favorite tunes. As usual, everything we needed to cook our meals was available and easy to find. Thank you for keeping such a special place going!

Weekend Mini Moon

My wife and I stayed at The Hygge Chalet for our mini moon, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. We loved everything about this place. The decor was cute and cozy, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Being surrounded by nature added an extra layer of tranquility that we cherished. The two decks were a highlight for us, especially the one with the hammocks where we could relax and take in the serene surroundings. The cabin was perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing mini honeymoon. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and the coffee maker, which made cooking dinner here a joy. Rejuvenating, Soul Nourishing Getaway.

My wife, our 3-month-old son, and I had the most wonderful stay at the Hygge Chalet. It was exactly the peaceful, cozy, soul-refreshing getaway we needed. Tucked away among the trees, the chalet truly embraces the spirit of hygge: warm, welcoming, and filled with simple pleasures. Every morning, we took our time grinding fresh coffee beans and making pour-over coffee, savoring slow breakfasts out on the deck surrounded by fresh mountain air. The weather was perfect — sunny and crisp. Most nights, we made hot cocoa with marshmallows or tea, got cozy under blankets in the living room amidst soft candlelight and warm, inviting lighting, and played board games by the fire while our son happily rolled around on his play mat. It was such a pleasing and comforting environment for us — exactly what we were hoping for. The owners thought of everything to make traveling with a baby easier: they even provided a pack 'n play, saving us the hassle of packing extra gear. Thoughtful touches like that made all the difference. We enjoyed amazing meals grilled on the outdoor barbecue and had most dinners on the deck, soaking in the peaceful sounds of nature. We went on a beautiful hike nearby, spotted wild turkeys roaming by, and spent time unwinding in the private sauna — the perfect way to end the day. Sitting in the hot sauna and cooling off in the crisp mountain air under the stars was a true highlight. The chalet is stocked with books, games, and cozy nooks that invite you to slow down, reconnect, and savor the little things. Everything was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and lovingly maintained. This trip gave us so many sweet memories as a family, and we left feeling rested, reconnected, and full of gratitude. I cannot recommend the Hygge Chalet enough if you're looking for a quiet, cozy, soul-nourishing retreat in the mountains. We'll definitely be back!
