Outdated, needs repair, good pool and breakfast

Pros: It has a restaurant - food was decent and certainly beat going out. Never tried the bar, but it has one. The pool was probably the best
Cons: Updated carpets, general maintenance, fixing, beds, fixing things that are broken.
The Bad So recently my wife and I embarked on a trip and visited at least 8 hotels in our trip. This stay was not part of it, but the price we paid for our room was the same as the 3 occasions where we splurged for an upgraded room. This was not an upgraded room - this is a basic 2 double bed room. The first thing I noticed was the old carpet - eh I can deal with that. The room itself was kind of dark, the baseboard cover, is not fastened and should probably be replaced - and the door handle to the bathroom was in dire need of replacement as it was falling out and would hardly shut. Someone is not doing the maintenance on the place. The Good - It has a restaurant - food was decent and certainly beat going out. Never tried the bar, but it has one. The pool was probably the best I've seen in a long time, certainly the first one I've seen in many years with a true 8ft deep end, which made it nice for swimming away from kids who can't go that far. It also has a 1 ft pool for little kiddies and hot wading pool - with the controls at the front desk so you need to ask to turn the jets on. More attention to the grounds as with a bar there was bottles laying outside by the doors. Snow was piled up by one of the exit doors which made it a little more difficult for opening the door completely (not determinent to getting out just not presentable)

Nice hotel close to the interstate

Pros: The location was convenient for us.
Cons: We had problems with our toilet continuing to run so my husband kept taking the lid off and fixing it.
Location: Easy access from 2 major highways and within 1 mile of the Ralph Engelstad Arena.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating and got us the adjoining rooms I had requested for my daughter and her family. The hotel is showing its age on the outside but the lobby and restaurant areas were obviously remodeled and more modern and the rooms appeared to have newer carpet in them. The beds and chairs were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. It worked out perfectly for the short stay we had there because it was located at the intersection of the two highways we were coming on.

Old hotel but well kept

The hotel was quiet and clean. WE only ate breakfast there but the food was good.

disappointed

The service at this property was very good. All questions were answered quickly and efficiently.The entry carpets were dirty when we came in and were even worse when we left 2 days later.Housekeeping made our bed after the first night ,left clean towels and emptied the garbage cans. The did not wipe anything or vacume.The pool was full of sand when we got there and was still there when we left.At best a mediocre effort by cleaning staff at this property.
