Hotel Karae - Hostel
"Great hotel/hostel linked to a cafe, shop and cinema. The hotel was great overall, but by comparison to the rest of the facilities, the room felt a touch basic, if perfectly comfortableand spotlessly clean. "The hotel is situated right next to the sea and the sunsets are stunning. The room is big and quite comfortable. My only complaint is the toilet had a continuous noxious odour that may be from the backflow or exhaust of other units."

Genkai Hotel & Travel Guide\n
There are 3 places to stay within a 10-mile (16-kilometer) drive of Genkai, however unfortunately there aren't any within Genkai itself.
The Asuka Hotel, Kyushu and Okinawa, which is the nearest hotel, can be found 6 miles (10 kilometers) from central Genkai. That said, you may like to stay at the Imari Grand Hotel, located in Kyushu and Okinawa, which is 14 miles (23 kilometers) away.
19 miles (30 kilometers) from central Genkai, you will come across the Pension Souvenir. Alternatively, the Central Hotel Imari is approximately 14 miles (23 kilometers) away. You could also book the Ryokan Wataya or the Karatsu Royal Hotel.
If time allows, adventurous travelers could discover more of Kyushu and Okinawa. Kyushu and Okinawa is well known for its beaches, and other common tourist sites include ruins, castles and old towns. Locals and visitors alike in this region of Japan adore mountain biking.
Yahatahigashi is 60 miles (97 kilometers) to the northeast of Genkai and is home to Kawachi Fujien and Mt. Sarakura. Some Yahatahigashi accommodations include the Nishitetsu Inn Kurosaki and KitaKyushu Youth Hostel. 50 miles (82 kilometers) to the south of Genkai, you can also stay at Nagasaki Dejima, home to the Hotel New Nagasaki and Hotel Jal City Nagasaki. If you stay in Nagasaki Dejima, it's worth visiting the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum and Former British Consulate.
Why not spend a few hours enjoying the plays with supporters at an engaging match. Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome can be found 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the east of Genkai. Travelers who like the convenience of finding accommodation in the vicinity, reserve a room in the Hotel Marinoa Resort Fukuoka or Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk.
After you've learnt a little about what Travelocity-listed hotel options are available in Genkai, put aside some time to check out Travelocity's Genkai regional guide for the low-down on ways to spend your time in this part of the world.

Takeo Onsen Kyotoya
"We love the decor. I was blessed to run into an older woman who showed me some of the phongraphs and music boxes in the lobby. They have an old Toyota car out front that is beautiful. The coffee area was a nice place to take a break and read. We stayed in the traditional room which had tatami mats and futons. The air conditioning worked great fighting the Kyushu humid summer. The only drawback was the water pressure. Overall it was low and I think they rely on the hot spring for water so it takes a while for the water to warm."
