"Everything was excellent felt like I was in Vegas lol"

"Located in downtown Gas Lamp District. Numerous bars, Coffee houses, Restaurants, Comedy and Music Venues...all within walking distance. Staff was super responsive and eager to please. Building was built in 1913, so it is a bit dated with small rooms with small restrooms. But very clean. Upon arriving I tried to get early check-in, (2:00PM) but was denied. My wife worked her magic and we were allowed in the room early with no hard feelings. I wish I was as convincing (sigh). The parking seems a bit expensive at $38 for 24 hours. The parking structure is confusing when trying to exit in your car because you must go to the top level to get to the spiral road leading to the exit. NO SIGN EXPLAINS THIS. Also one must be capable of using smart phone to use the parking structure because you must use a QR code to enter and exit. The parking structure was very isolated at 2:30 pm, but there is an attendant in the morning until 12pm?(Not Sure) So a woman or man might feel vulnerable."

"I booked this hotel because of its location for my boyfriends bday. Plus I really liked the history of the building and how it looked. I rented a suite. When we arrived we were greeted very friendly by the valet and the front desk. Merry is a rockstar and a treasure for anyone who stays there. I told her it was my bfs bday and she broke out into a full song and dance!!!! Really made his day. Thanks Merry!!!! The room was very clean. We both were happy. It is a bit noisy. But your at the heart of the Gaslamp district. Restaraunts, clubs, bars, shopping. It’s all here within walking distance. There was quite a few homeless but they don’t bother anyone. Only issue we had was the ceiling above the shower started to leak around 2am. The hotel sent an employee up to check it out. Within the hour it had stopped. I think the person in the room above us might have let the water run over the bath. Not sure. I was comped for valet for the inconvenience and I was satisfied with that. Definitely will be back soon. Had a wonderful time. Oh and they have a patio up on the rooftop that’s b.y.o.b. What more could you want!? 9 out of 10. Great job Plaza Suites!!!! "

"This was overall a terrific experience. My only issue was the door to the room did not go all the way to the floor. This would not have been an issue except the lighting in the hallway was extremely bright and made it difficult to sleep."
