The view of the beach was unobstructed and the room was as described. It is a bit older and could use some work but would meet the needs in Galveston. I found that they could use a little more kitchen goods to help with food prep in the kitchen. Some of the plugs did not work and I could not figure out how to turn the light above the kitchen bar on (the switch didn't do anything), although I never contacted the owner about that, so my problem there. I felt they could definitely use more lighting, pretty dim over all. The main concern that I had was the balcony was covered, (and I mean piles of bird poop on chairs, railings, corners, windows) with bird poop and pigeons made it their home 24 hrs./day. I was unable to open deck door for sanitation reasons. I did reach out to the owner and they said they would send someone to clean, which I guess they did (I left), but I decided for my own health and enjoyment, to go somewhere else. After much back and forth I did receive a 51 (15% refund from the owners.) Also, they were very responsive to my messages and pretty easy to reach. For some reason I am unable to add the pictures I took of the balcony.
