"For room 404 - Large fan needed for room, in warm months, as even with temperature off, AC was too noisy at full level. Also for some reason the external window blinds opened right up to let the hot sun in and wouldn't drop down even when 🔽 button was kept pressed? USB ports were not working for my phone and mini fan to charge the batteries, on this visit. Pillows could have been a little plumper and firmer for a more comfortable sleep as 3/4 were quite flat. Excellent in all other respects and would stay again and recommend to others. Excellent hotel location, nestled in Swiss hillside. Transport right outside to the heart of Zurich city Regular taxis appearing to take customers to the airport. Exceptional service and so clean in hotel and everywhere you go. Bathroom facilities absolutely immaculate. I would have preferred breakfast at hotel to be a waiting on dining service, with menu on table and meet and greet hosting service on arrival to the restaurant, as the self service style was a little off putting for the price (30CHF). Super clean everywhere though. A small pantry close to reception provided refreshments and snacks whilst waiting. It would have been nice to have some complementary cooled Swiss bottled water in the room refrigerator in addition to this but excellent in all other respects. IKEA also 2 minute walk from hotel, really clean, clear layout, outstanding toilet facilities again and everywhere you go in Switzerland. Cannot fault it otherwise. "

"Expedia fails to protect its customers when the service is not delivered as expected. During our stay, renovation work started directly above our room at 7:00 a.m. without any prior notice. The noise was extremely loud, woke us up immediately, and made it impossible to return to sleep. This significantly impacted our stay and our ability to use the room for its primary purpose. This was meant to be a short vacation to rest, but instead it was disrupted in a way that made it impossible to relax. We reported the issue to reception as soon as it opened at 8:00 a.m., after trying unsuccessfully to rest for an hour. The solutions offered were not practical, as the disruption had already occurred. The hotel staff acknowledged the issue on site and indicated that compensation would be provided. However, after our departure, they refused to offer any compensation or resolution. What is particularly disappointing is how this situation was handled by Expedia. Despite clear evidence of a service failure, the case was treated as a standard cancellation request rather than “service not provided as expected.” The case was closed based solely on the property’s response, without addressing the actual issue. As the issue remains unresolved, I have initiated a chargeback process with my bank due to the failure to provide the service as expected."
