Nice older facility. Staff very accommodating. Convenient location. The door cards kept losing their ability to open the doors but the staff is aware of this issue and recharges the cards without a lengthy explanation. Pool is wonderful and Restaurant was good.

The property was nice. The lobby was excellent loved all the different types of animal mounts. Costumer service was polite and helpful. Rooms are easy to find and parking it great.

The YO Ranch Hotel is our go-to every time we visit Kerrville. This historic hotel has incredible bones—sturdy, well-built, and full of character you just can’t replicate in newer places. While some travelers might be drawn to more modern renovations, we think that’s part of what makes the YO so special. It’s a hidden gem—rich in Texas history and charm, with a rustic elegance that gives you a real sense of place. We always find ourselves talking about how, if someone ever got their hands on this property and gave it a high-end facelift, it could easily become a luxury destination (and probably price us out!). Until then, we’ll keep soaking in the cozy, old-school vibes, friendly service, and unbeatable atmosphere. Long live the YO!

Would have rather stayed home

We had stayed at this hotel about a year and a half before Covid. We had liked it at that time so we came back. We were very disappointed in the condition and the amenities. The pool bar that is there we were told has not reopened after Covid, the hot tub is not open. There was a dirty coffee cup outside of our room in the hall when we arrived from a previous gives (it had a large bug in it), it did not get picked up the whole time we stayed (2days). The bath tub is completely chipped, there are signs of damage to the ceiling that has been repaired poorly. When we did try to get in the pool, it was dirty. Cigarette butts and leaves filled every corner of the pool. The bed is very uncomfortable. I have back and knee problems and couldn’t sleep either night. We will not be back to stay again. The staff are nice but the hotel needs a large update.

Hunters hotel. Bathrooms could've used an update. Box spring was exposed, needed some kind of cover. Matress a bit lumpy and "squeeky". Restaurant closed except for breakfast due to short staffed. Bar tender very nice gave great recomendation for dinner. Front desk staff very nice.

The hotel was acceptable except for the fact that my husband is in a wheel chair and our room was not wheel chair friendly. I was told they do have and booked a room for next year with the assurance that our room wheel be more hanicapped friendly.

Was not impressed with breakfast in the restaurant. Have had much better omelets and hash browns! Would probably go off the property for meals. The grandkids really enjoyed the pool, except found cigarette butts in the water. The room was nice and comfortable-only complaint I had was the usb ports on the lamp did not work when the lamp was turned off. So there was not enough outlets for everyone’s electronics.

Beautiful hotek that is well kept and clean with friendly staff and a lovely restaurant. Family suite was amazing and we were all well rested. The pool was perfect and had a shallow area for the smaller kids.

The rustic feel is wonderful. The only complaint I have is the cleanliness of the room. The box spring was snowing and trashy, and the tile floors were beautiful but filthy. Hope it looks better the next time we stay.
