Great trip. Room was clean and staff were polite and helpful. We did have an issue with parking. Arrived on a Sunday before our room was ready. We were in pool when a parking company started going through lot booting cars without parking pass. We were able to get a pass in time but someone in our party got booted and had to pay a (discounted) fee to parking guy to get boot removed. Matanzas needs to issue parking passes as soon as they are aware a guest is on the property, even if room is not yet ready.

Only thing we didn’t know about and didn’t like was the noise at the end where the bar/ restaurant is. We stayed in room 102 and that was our only complaint. Even tho we are drinkers, we aren’t late night people. So you have the noise till entertainment ( which was good) was done. Then every morning around 4/5 the workers are unloading food trucks. Slamming what we thought might be bags of ice. So not enough sleep. We would definitely stay there again, we would just ask to be in another building. Enjoy.

The location is absolutely perfect with easy walking distance to restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Very easy 5 min walk to the beach too. The staff seems very nice and friendly. The room itself was clean but...meh. We had a few oddball issues like a window that wouldn't close and the shower handle felt like it was about to fall off. Our room had no real closet, just a hanging shelf in the bathroom The bed was pretty stiff too. The little kitchenette was good and clean! Overall, its decent, especially given where it is. The 3 star rating is for something I would consider in the middle of the pack.

Room was very clean and updated. Pool and hot tub were also very clean and usable. Location was great for walking to the restaurants and the beach. The only negative for us was that the mattresses were very firm which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.
