Staff service was excellent. Good amenities within the hotel room. Breakfast was excellent with a varied selection of cereals, fruit and pastries. This hotel is perfect for those who want to see the main attractions within Florence, almost everything is within walking distance. I would highly recommend it.

Great location, staff and good breakfast. Hotel with a nice lobby. I thought the rooms could be a little more updated. I stayed in a connecting room which was good, but one of the bathrooms had a shower over a small bathtub that was very high and slippery. An older person could EASILY get into a SERIOUS INJURY. There is no sense in having that type of bathtub in a room.

Hotel Balestri, Florence: An Unforgettable Stay

My family and I stayed at Hotel Balestri for four days, and it was absolutely amazing. We were fortunate to book a corner unit with breathtaking views of the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio. Waking up to that stunning scenery each morning was truly unforgettable. The hotel’s location is ideal—just a few blocks from everything you’d want to see in Florence. The property is well-maintained, and the service was exceptional throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Davide at the bar, whose skill as a bartender and warm hospitality added to the experience. Hotel Balestri exceeded all our expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Construction outside the property was disruptive and annoying, but the hotel itself was absolutely lovely and the staff could not have been nicer. Everything was in walking distance.

they made everything right

we checked in to the hotel and i was surprised by the small lobby, but then saw the larger lobby on the other side of the small wall and it was fine for having drinks in the evening. the room -- with a balcony and river view-- was way too small for two people for 4 nights! I was so upset, you couldn't even open the balcony doors without them hitting the bed. I complained and by the next morning they were moving me to what they said was a "step down" -- a much larger room complete with sitting area, bathtub, larger bathroom, and a closet. the first room didn't even have a closet. I was ready to check out because i was so upset but they changed me and all was good from there on. nice breakfast set up and service. great location -- right on the river and literally a couple of blocks to Ufizzi and about 6 blocks to santa croce!

Great hotel and super friendly and professional staff, throughout the days. The breakfast selections could use more variety. The VIP option of Expedia is effectively meaningless. That’s becoming a common feature of all “VIP” hotels on Expedia. But the hotel is great.
