This hotel is in the heart of Florence & very convenient to the Duomo and other attractions. I had a 5th floor room, which seemed an afterthought to the hotel. There were 4 rooms total on this floor (seemingly in the stairwell) and my room was next to the elevator. It was a bit noisy with others on the floor using the elevator at night. I'm not sure how the other floors of this hotel are laid out, but I would suggest not staying on the 5th floor. The lighting was not very good in the room or bathroom, especially for ladies wanting to do their makeup. When I arrived, the room was pitch black and there was no light switch near the door that I could feel. I needed to dig out my cell phone and use the flashlight to find a light switch. The bathtub/shower in the room was pretty "tall" and very slippery. I guess they don't believe in anti-slip mats or anything. Otherwise, staff was very friendly and helpful at this hotel.

The hotel is quite old, with small, dark rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly. The elevator is slow, and the shower is a bit tricky—the water pressure makes it hard to take a proper shower, and the bathtub is very high, which can be uncomfortable for your knees. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. On the bright side, the location is excellent, right in the heart of Florence.

Oh good lord, what's not to like? A hotel with its own history - Dante's wife was born here! Every attraction is within 10 minutes walking distance. The staff were fantastic, friendly, couldn't have been more helpful! The reception staff were just lovely! The cleaning staff keep the place immaculate and the waiting staff kept the restaurant immaculate and well stocked! The room was kept lovely and cool and the room had a fridge in it

Decent hotel; very clean. No walk-in shower (I am disabled) Tub wall too high to climb over. Soap in dispenser on bathroom wall; I prefer a nice scented bar of French soap. No room service. Breakfast is ok Close to Uffizi but not close enough to walk.
