We came to town for the Apple Festival but enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Lodge better. Check in was simple...we gave our name and were given the keys to the room. No waiting involved. The room was nice and clean. There was even a personalized note on the bed with a couple of chocolates (nice touch). The kitchen area was more then we needed for an overnight stay but it's nice to know that its available. The room had a ceiling fan which I found refreshing...especially here in the south. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Complimentary breakfast was simple but good. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay.
