Riad Fès - Relais & Châteaux
"Beautiful hotel! The location in the medina can be difficult to navigate on your own, but the staff are very helpful in assisting with transportation. The pool, dinner, and breakfast were especially nice, making the hotel a beautiful oasis in the midst of a busy (and sometimes overwhelming) ..."

Riad Fes Maya
"Riad Fes Maya is a stunningly beautiful building. The room we had was ornate and spacious, but dark. Natural light filtered in from the courtyard at the expense of privacy, a concept implicitly understood by the other guests. Riad Taryana
"Our room was perpetually damp. The sheets and the pillow were always damp. The AC seemed to not work or help with the problem (although we didn’t ask about fixing it bc it took a while to realize the problem). The fan in the bathroom didn’t help much either. The room was only turned over once on ..."

Riad El Amine Fès - Historic Hotels Worldwide
"Definitely no where close to a 5 star Riad more like a 2 star. The rooms smelled putrid. Food was terrible and not prepared by someone who knows how to cook. Riad Fes Maya
"Riad Fes Maya is a stunningly beautiful building. The room we had was ornate and spacious, but dark. Natural light filtered in from the courtyard at the expense of privacy, a concept implicitly understood by the other guests. We enjoyed dinner on the rooftop deck twice during our stay and found breakfasts enjoyable as long as we could stay out of the hot late May sun and out of the glass enclosed room where most guests sat. Staying here in late spring was a constant challenge to stay cool. The woman running the Riad, Sama, is pleasant but not always helpful, despite her well-meaning efforts. The Medina tour she arranged was free but consisted in substantial part of visits to shops where pressure to buy goods was palpable. She told us the Medina was gated and closed at 7 pm each night preventing anyone from entering or leaving, which was not true, as we has dinner inside it our second night, escorted to and from another riad by a bellboy. Our departure to another hotel in time for a rendezvous at 9 am was nearly missed, despite being reserved ~3 months in advance, due to understaffing. All in all we enjoyed our stay as a bit of an adventure. Hearing the call to prayer on the rooftop deck from mosques all across the Medina was an experience not to be missed."
