Typically the house you rent on a vacation doesn't make much of a difference for your experience. This home, without a doubt, was the BEST part of my vacation. Even better than seeing the Northern Lights (twice!). It exceeded my expectations in every way. I had a group of 10 guests. The beds were comfortable, clean, and Mavrik helped us by bringing in a pull-out bed so that we could sleep comfortably. He was incredibly communicative.The layout of the living area (and that EPIC couch) is unmatched. We watched movies, we had deep conversations, we sang Karaoke (shoutout to whoever left their Youtube account logged in on the TV!) The house was simply built for community.AND THE POOL! We hot tubbed, we sauna'ed, we played in the pool, and had so much fun between our adventures in the snow.The kitchen is gorgeous and clean. The cookware is brand-new and built for hosting. Every morning, we'd just sip our coffee from the fully-stocked Keurig bar and enjoy the 360 degree views of the peaceful, snowy atmosphere. The windows make you feel like you're in a snowglobe!I will be bringing my family back next year just because I've never experienced something so special. In terms of location and practicality -- the house is about 10 minutes from town, so very convenient to stock up on food. The roads were maintained well and we never got stuck in the snow. The house is also relatively isolated from neighbors, so it felt like we had all of Fairbanks to ourselves.
