"The staff, especially Sean (front desk) and Matt (valet) were terrific. The room was comfortable and uniquely decorated. While small, the hotel has a fun game room, a coffee shop and a rooftop bar. The location us great for both Uva and downtown attractions. "

"Loved the tea and cookies every afternoon by the fire and Christmas Tree!!! Also love the breakfast!! My favorite was the cottage cheese and peaches! The bed could have been better but other than that it was great and the staff were very friendly. Enjoyed our stay!!"

"Everything was clean and well maintained. Hotel room has laminate floors. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom sink is outside of bathroom. Actual bathroom is tiny and basic but was clean and looked newly renovated. Poor shower head pressure, but plenty of hot water. For the price the place is a great deal - basic but not run down at all as other hotels at this price point are likely to be. Breakfast was better than I expected. Several hot dishes, make your own waffles, yogurt and boiled eggs. Gave lower score because served oatmeal packets, and only saw whole milk (no skim). Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again."

"The staff there was great. Everyone was courteous and friendly. Breakfast was very good and had a nice variety of breakfast foods. My wife and I enjoyed our stay there and will definitely stay there again in the future."
