"We really enjoyed our stay at the Colonial Hotel in Grand Bend. The room and bathroom were both large and spacious. "Overall this was a very lovely stay! We came just after Labour Day weekend and were notified ahead of time about the limited restaurant hours which was a nice heads-up. The Kiwi Motel
"We got there an hour early before checkin, we messaged the contact we were given, they said we could check in early for $25 extra! We were going to use the pool but it was packed, only to find out it’s a public use pool and anyone can use it if they buy a drink. We seen under age 16 kids enter and ..."

"Beautiful waterfront location with indoor pool,no complain with almost everything except the in house care taker? We did not get a even proper check in,felt like a unwelcomed intruder, she sat in sofa when we walk passed her after, she did not even looked us or tried to talk to us."

Before you say goodbye to Stratford, ensure you are able to see some fast-paced sport. Make your way to Grand River Raceway, located northeast of Exeter. Hessenland Inn & Schatz Winery
"Overall this was a very lovely stay! We came just after Labour Day weekend and were notified ahead of time about the limited restaurant hours which was a nice heads-up. Check-in was easy and the employee was helpful. The room was very quaint and clean. Not top-of-the-line and could use updates but clearly very well-maintained and exceptionally clean. The bed was very bouncy and a bit noisy, and the sofa bed was in rough shape. The pool was open but quite cold and a little dirty with debris, but water quality was good. There weren't pool towels that we could find but luckily, we had packed some. The beach is about a km away from the hotel/winery but it's a short drive on private property with parking near the entrance. There is a big staircase, but otherwise accessible and quiet. It was very nice. The star of the show was definitely the property. Beautiful gardens and a gazebo that was well-lit into the night made for a beautiful evening walk around the grounds. We had a brief visit to the winery and Val was SO GREAT to give us wine recommendations, and we stayed for a glass. We had a very nice time here and will definitely stay again and recommend to friends as a good value stay in a beautiful region!"
