The hotel was under renovation and had signs up about please pardon our renovation, I had no idea what I was in for. The first morning I woke up to someone hammering on the next door rooms’s connecting wall. As I don’t like to complain and it wasn’t loud I got up and took off for the day. The next day at 7:30 am hammering on the wall and heavy equipment and drilling noises went on for two hours. I tried ear buds , it was so loud the noise cancelling air pods couldn’t drown it out! I went to the office to complain and the girl told me that was why they had the signs up. I have her a piece of my mind because I felt I paid too much for the hotel even without the construction in the next room. I asked if they didn’t have rules for the workers to not work on a room next to one that has a do not disturb sign on the door. Many other rooms were also in the process of renovation that were not next door to a paying guest. She said they had none of those kind of rules. She put in her notes for me not to be disturbed the next morning. I walked to my car and found that the workers had furniture and equipment they were working on in the parking spot by my car!!! I checked for scratches on my car and while there were none my black car looked white because it was covered in a fine dust!!! To be fair it was more quiet the next day but I think they had finished with the room next to mine. I don’t think I could recommend this hotel. They did not seem to have the guests comfort in mind.

Construction started 8am on our last day, in the rooms adjacent to mine and my parents. Renovation project with drills and bathroom getting gut renovated.

This was my best experience at any motel. Very clean and updated rooms, super friendly staff and a well stocked breakfast every day. We stayed here for week while visiting the Sequoia parks and would recommend this to anyone looking to do the same.
