Can't wait to come back and see the finished reno!

We stayed two nights. Check in was simple, and everyone at the front desk was very nice. Our first night we had been placed in a room that was near a stairwell. Throughout the night I could hear a door slamming, along with some noise from our neighbors. At not fault of the hotels, it did impact my sleep. They were very understanding, and accommodated our request to move rooms. The second room was much quieter. Breakfast was great in the morning, and our son enjoyed the pool. The property ia under renovations, and they sent an email explaining so after reserving. I had already that in other reviews, so no shock. They have plenty of signage up about the renovations, and it didn't impact our stay.

Exactly What I Needed

I was in town to teach a class. The Medallion Inn was exactly what I was looking for. The room was very spacious and had a small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee/tea maker. The desk area was just what I needed to get some last minute work done. The bed was comfortable so I was able to get a good nights of sleep before I taught the next at a school nearby. The hot breakfast was also a plus. There were scrambled eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, biscuit and gravy, bagels/toast/waffles, pastries, cereal, and yogurt.

I was put in a room that was right on I ~5 ,so loud.the person who check me in was kinda rude ,I came before 4:00 and I said I would wait in lobby until time was right ,she said I couldn’t wait in the lobby .please inform me why that would not be ok,I had reservations ,I had ID.I don’t recommend this hotel even though I did get in early the rudeness wasn’t what I expected.And the check in time is the latest I’ve ever heard of

The communication was very poor I'm still waiting for a call back from the manager. I called three to 4 times with no return call. Smoke detector beep for over an hour.While I waited for someone to get back to me to get it fixed.No one came, we finally left after midnight. They refused to refund my money.

I was expecting a 3 stars hotel same as Holiday inn and definitely this is not. It’s is renovation, pool was cold and the jacuzzi had sand in the bottom. Overall hotel was ok for 2 nights but we were expecting a better hotel

The hotel was undergoing renovations. The pop machines were either unopperable or out of stock. We were told the pool was open till ten only to find it closed for maintenence. Our neighbors were loud all night. (Not that the hotel had any contol over that.)

I used to love staying at the Medallion but it has gone downhill with a lot of questionable guests and people living out of their cars in the parking lots.Plus the prices have gone up which is unfortunate
