"Overall, our cabin was very nice and had everything we needed. Everything was super clean. This is tucked up in the woods with a couple of other small cabins. The bathroom and bathhouse is a little bit of a walk and not attached to the main sleeping place, but it was still perfect for our needs this weekend."

"This home was perfect for our large group. Our kids, ages 7-17, had a blast enjoying every inch of this property. Kayaking, fishing, swimming and lawn activities kept everyone, of all ages, busy during our stay. The home is well maintained with plenty of space for gathering as well as being apart. We all agreed that we would love to stay here again."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little house the last week in May. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch where we played games and listened to the rain on the tin roof. Our only complaint was it was TOO relaxing lol! The beds and couch were very comfortable. Kitchen a bit small but we managed since it was just me, my husband, and our dog. The property has lots of shade and pretty private, which was great. With so much rain, we weren’t able to enjoy getting in the water much bc it made it very cold. But we chilled on the dock as much as we could when the sun was out—love that it’s a very short walk from the porch. Hubby caught several fish too! The gas grill was very nice also; we used it a good bit. We will definitely be returning later this Summer when it’s warmer."

"It is difficult to find a place with room enough for our large family to vacation together - Grandma and Grandpa, seven adult children, spouses, and grands - but the Big Lake House was absolutely perfect. Couples had their own bedrooms, cousins LOVED the large bunk room and loft, and we all appreciated the ample gathering spaces (kitchen, living room, upstairs den, outdoor living areas). We had several days of rain during our recent stay - no problem, as the house comes with plenty of games and "porch" activities to entertain and occupy the littles while the grown-ups supervised and visited. At the beachfront access, the cove is fairly shallow - perfect for children - and we made extensive use of the kayaks, paddles, and life vests provided. The pool, ping pong table, and fooseball were also big hits with the family, and nearby hiking trails provided challenging adventures for both the littles and the more athletic folks in our group. Our family are cooks - we prepared and ate all our meals at the house - so the large refrigerator, well-stocked dish cupboards, and institutional size pots and pans were put to good use over the week. Check in and check out were a breeze, and our hosts were in contact throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay special and enjoyable. Really can't say enough good about our stay at the Big Lake House - our time together there was such a blessing. Thank you for making this house available!"
