We showed up and were advised that there was a $15 per night amenities fee for the gym and smores. The gym should be included in the nightly rate and the smores should be optional, right? We got settled into our room and were about to crawl into bed when I turned on the AC unit. The fan rattled noisily like it had a bad bearing. I wound up turning it off because we were too tired to deal with swapping rooms after a long day. The next day we got up early and were in Rocky Mountain National Park until 8PM or so. We got back to the room expecting to each take a long hot shower. Unfortunately there wasn't any hot water from 8PM until we went to bed at 10PM.

Our stay was good. If you have kids you will like all of the amenities. We just needed a place to sleep after hiking every day. Breakfast is very good and loved the access to coffee & tea 24/7. The property is a little old but clean. Close access to everything

What is with the multiple elevator and stair combinations to get anywhere. The doors to get into your room were built like they were made for a bank - young children could not move the doors. Breakfast not included was a bummer . . . Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby was fantastic and well used by the adult :)

Uncomfortable Stay

The rooms were dated and small. The beds were uncomfortable and the plumbing was horrible. Our shower would not drain and maintenance could not fix it. Since it was the final day of our stay the front desk agreed to refund payment for the day and we checked out. However, they stated that since we booked through a third party (Hotels.com) they would have to confirm the refund with them. I still have not been refunded anything. Hotels.com representatives have stated they cannot contact anyone from the hotel to verify the refund. So because of the faulty plumbing and inability to fix the problem, I had to pay twice to provide a my family with a working bathroom. So disappointing that I'm getting the run around from both parties, Hotels.com and Holiday Inn Estes Park.

Great RMNP hotel for families

This is a good family hotel option for visiting Estes Park. It’s in a good location, close to downtown but not in downtown. Easy to access the road to RMNP. Near lots of good food. I was able to run to and around Lake Estes easily (5 miles). The hotel itself has been renovated and updated since I first stayed there as a child! The pool and game rooms were big hits with my three children. The room itself was fine. I am shocked that they only have one elevator in the building but somehow that works. I like the added touch of giving us a s’mores kit upon arrival. Will for sure stay here again.

The staff was very friendly & helpful. We liked the coffee & tea in the lobby being available 24/7. The s’mores kit to use at fire pit was a nice touch.

Property is conveniently located to Rocky Mountain National Park. It is not the newest property in the area, but it was well kept, clean and staff was courtesy and efficient. The rooms were quiet and easy to access as well. Easy walking distance to others things in the area, and they also had bicycles to use to get to things as well.

This hotel is not worth the money. The back door to the hotel did not lock securely. Anyone could come in. The stairs by our room hadn’t been vacuumed in a very long time. The air conditioning rattled and we had to get maintenance to fix it. The bathroom vent was extremely dirty and dusty. The door that joins rooms did not go all the way to floor which made the room noisy from neighbours. We put a towel there to see if that helped noise. Housecleaning left bags in the garbage expecting guests to put in the garbage. It also took us at least 45 minutes to reach the front desk by phone. We seriously do not recommend the hotel. It was very expensive and extremely disappointing. We would like some compensation for our stay.

Clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. The best thing is the amenities for kids/teens and the little treats. Game room and pool very welcoming. Starbucks stations for coffee and flavoured water fountain.

Close to downtown Estes Park. Very nice staff with renovated lobby and fire pits and s’mores outside in the evenings. Standard Holiday in rooms - clean but slightly dated.

Kid friendly, comfy beds, and hot water. Pool was nice. Game rooms were broken down and seemed understaffed. Loved using the bikes. Jennifer was excellent. The rest of the staff seemed indifferent.
