Nice place, maybe needs more oversight...

It's clean and the rooms are updated, especially compared to other product in Estes Park. There are some playground areas for kids and BBQ's. Staff seem nice. I think they try to create a nice product but there were a few issues. The day of check in they were 'deep cleaning' the lobby and areas outside the lobby with a Clorox type of cleaner. We were outside working and couldn't really get much done. I kind of wondered why they would choose Labor Day weekend for this. (Wouldn't it be better to do this type of cleaning on, say, a Wednesday?) The hose they were using to clean the pavement and outside seating/welcome area had such low pressure that another worked started using a gas blower to blow the water, soap and suds off the carport area! It was quite a show they inadvertently put on. Didn't seem like they had good instructions on what to do, or oversight. They were just kind of going at it however seemed right, while oblivious to the guests around them. I don't think it was their fault, there just wasn't any oversight, nor anyone seeing the bigger picture. In the morning the cleaning people laid down a stack of sheets on the chair outside our room, probably around 9am. I guess this was a hint to move along. I was thinking about hanging on those chairs, so it was a bit odd. It didn't seem completely sanitary to put sheets on these outside chairs. As I said, I think they have tried to create a nice product but there are some day-to-day details that need working out.

Great spot!!

Haley at the front desk was amazing for check-in, friendly polite had all the information I needed. She was truly a pleasure. The facilities are not new, but they were rustic and charming, and the view from the window of my room was spectacular. The pool and hot tub were a lovely addition. The hot tub could use a little work, but it was hot and that’s exactly what we needed. the extras the s’mores the popcorn, and the continental breakfast were very nice touches. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
