The staff were great when we checked in. As they handed the key, they said to check the room to our liking if not they can switch us to another one. My first time to experience this. Bravo. The shower was above par. Amenities are okay. The room was clean and the bed had the right firmness we like. Pillows were a little soft for our liking. Cable TV was nice, my darling saw Hallmark and she's happy. We loved that we were in the 2nd floor and thinking that we can see the sea but kind of disappointed. Overall, loved our stay. Will be back when we will have our group meeting in that area again. Bravo Zulu.

This place might be the best value for the money in all of Encinitas. I booked for 1 night initially thinking I'd probably move to a nicer place, decided to extend and stay 3 more nights. Good location on the PCH in a high-end residential area. Numerous restaurants are an easy walk. Plenty of parking in a well-lit lot. Warm, friendly staff. Fresh paint + new decor + new flooring in lobby + rooms. A/C and heat wall unit worked great, was not overly loud as some are. Very comfy bed, soft sheets, plenty of pillows. Built-in bedside adjustable swivel (multi-directional) light fixtures with convenient on-off switches (love!!) Raised cabinet surface to put bags on + 3 large drawers. Cute, comfy over-sized upholstered chair + footrest. 48" desk with a modern swivel chair + nice desk lamp with 3 brightness levels. New full-size Keurig for in-room coffee + fridge + microwave. Bathroom mirror with a built-in adjustable light that serves as a night light. Bathroom is a little small (queen room), but the space is used well / wisely and the tile + sink + shower + fixtures are brand new. Continental breakfast was free and adequate — OJ, hot water + tea, fresh coffee, sugar, 2% milk, 3 Coffee Mate creamer flavors, cinnamon rolls, muffins, cookies, apples, choice of 3 cereals, white bread + new toaster, butter, honey, jelly.

The overall hotel was very dated and beat up. Our room was 209 right by the door to outside and every day we were woken up at 6-6:30 from people taking their dogs, kids, etc. and the door being slammed shut- there was absolutely 0 sound proofing even when we blasted white noise from our phones. The walls are dented, paint missing, there was not even a sheet to protect yourself from the comforter that is likely not washed every stay. The only positive is the location and free parking.

Unfortunately they didn’t get the basics right. Cold shower, threadbare towels, very noisy location of my room next to the outside door that slammed all night until 2am shaking the walls, poor quality breakfast, mold all over the bathroom and my room key had to be reactivated every night. I don’t understand the higher ratings other than a friendly staff, decent in room coffee machine and good location downtown Encinitas. It was a poor experience. Budget hotel that could not get the basics right.

The room was very clean. The shower was terrific. There were a refrigerator, a microwave, and even a mini bar counter in the room. The mini bar counter is very useful for our stay. The hotel's location is very convenient and very close to the beaches and not far from I-5. The hallway was being remodeled and didn't look that great, but it didn't bother us.

The Brisa Pacific Hotel is in an excellent location and is a small, welcoming hotel. The room itself was very clean, which I appreciated. I gave it four stars because the hallway carpet was in poor condition and had a noticeable pet odor. Since the hotel allows pets, I would recommend that management consider replacing the hallway carpet with hard flooring, as the current carpet appears to absorb pet odors. Once inside the room, everything was clean and well maintained, with hard flooring instead of carpet, which was a plus. Free parking was also a nice benefit.
