The room was very nice. Clean and a ton of space. Beautiful ocean views. Housekeeping every day which was awesome! Location was close to everything! Drawbacks would be train whistle through out the day and night and no microwave in the room. I would definitely recommend this as a nice stay in Encinitas.

The Encinitan is conveniently located just off I-5 and Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA. My room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the wifi was fast. I enjoyed walks on the beach. The pool and jacuzzi were a nice touch. Breakfast was about average.

The room was fine. However, when we got back to the room about 10pm from dinner with friends we discovered the TV didn't work. Not wanting to deal with a maintenance person late at night we resigned ourselves to watching a movie on our phone.

the hotel in general is dated and it shows. the staff is great and the location is fantastic, but the doors don't seal and noise from the outdoors (particularly the train nearby) comes right thru the doors.
