It’s a place to stay. Check in was easy enough Parking with a U-Haul and trailer was safe out front. Elevator had a loud scraping sound between floors. Room was ok. Wallpaper peeling at the seems. Some kind of large bump under the carpet by the window was strange. When leaving the agent saw our cat. Checked our record and said we didn’t declare it when checking in. Charged us a fee hours after we left without our signature or approval. Nowhere when making the reservation did it have an option to declare and pay for a pet.

The staff was wonderful, very nice. The room however was not what is expected from a La Quinta property. The wallpaper was coming off the walls, the tub had stains looked like it had not been properly cleaned, the bedding/comforter had what looked like makeup stains. We were traveling with dogs so were given a “dog friendly” room. The smell of whatever cleaner used was so strong it was almost unbearable, had to turn the ac on to circulate the air.

Overall, nice stay. Hotel is starting to look a little threadbare and worn, needs updating. Elliptical exercise machine makes annoying squeaking noise when used. When I told clerk she replied they have nothing to do with it.
