Studio hotel near Old Town

Clean, quiet room even though it’s on the 5th floor of a mall. Location was great, about a 10-15 minute walk to Old Town, and very easy to reach by city tram. We appreciated the complimentary filtered water and coffee station, as well as the separate entrance from street level. One note for U.S. travelers: king-size beds in Scotland are smaller than what you may be used to.

Really enjoyed being able to do my laundry and getting the croissants. Everything was clean and in good condition for being this type of hotel. The location was excellent in the St James area.

This property was not bad. It is located inside the huge mall in the new town of Edinburgh. It's a pretty good trek from the parking lot of the elevators through the mall to get to your room so if anybody having issues walking it could be an issue for. The room was a little bit small for four. Two adults two children. The main bed was small for two average adults and the pull out couch was not very comfy. However it is in a central location in Edinburgh and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping around and some cool bars as well.

The hotel was in a fantastic position, we had a couple of minor issues which were resolved extremely quickly by the staff. Would recommend and will definitely use again when in Edingburgh. No soundproof window

The view of the monument was fantastic. Room, bathroom and facilities was fantastic but we were bitterly let down on by the constant annoying heavy music beat from the open air court bar on the ground floor. We were on floor 1 or 2 above and could not espace it. Had 4 sleepless nights and day time was marred also by the incessant best. Just need to cut the noise with quadruple glazed glass….

The location of this hotel is very centrally located and it was fun being inside the mall and next door to a movie theater. The rooms are modern; however, the air conditioning did not work very well and our room always felt hot. The bar outside of the hotel was noisy at night and we had to keep our windows open because our room was so warm. Our biggest issue with the hotel was the “king size bed”. The bed was clearly a double size bed. When I questioned the hotel staff telling them I reserved a king bed they said it’s a “UK king” and that is the only size available. Every other hotel my family and I have stayed in in this country has been substantially larger and an actual king bed. The coffee and croissants in the morning are tasty and it was great having laundry in the hotel.

Excellent Hotel in Edinburgj

Excellent experience at this hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. Great location near Royal Mile and a tram stop. Lots of walkable dining locations. We had just gotten off a trans-Atlantic flight and my daughter was not feeling well. They went out of their way to get our room ready early so she could rest. I highly recommend this hotel and am sure you will have a great experience if you choose to stay there.

We loved staying at this hotel. It was perfect for us. We had a family room that had a full kitchen with a full size fridge! Everything was within a walking distance for us. We also had a spectacular view of Calton Hill. We would definitely stay here again if we were to go back.
