For the most part the hotel met our expectations. We do however need to report a safety problem. We were assigned a handicap room. The shower was impossible to use and keep the water in the shower. It ran out onto a tile floor. This made the floor slippery and difficult to walk on. It’s a significant hazard plus it must damage rooms below.

Stayed here based on reviews and the pictures, but the hotel is in need of a renovation. The rooms are old, old furniture, old everything. We stayed 2 nights, and BOTH nights the cops were at the hotel for "issues" amongst guests. The pool is SMALL, looks way larger in pictures.

Very nice hotel, in the center of McAllen with access to stores and restaurants. Hotel was clean, pool was nice, restaurant and bar offered a variety, and staff at check in was very friendly.
