I had an excellent stay at Oxford House last weekend. The rooms, although small, are very thoughtfully laid out. I booked the smallest room, which was fine for 1 person or a couple, but opt for a larger room if a couple of friends are sharing. My room was located at the back of the hotel away from the main road and away from the pool. Although I could hear some people in the hallway before I went to bed and after I woke up, it was quite quiet. The pool was lovely, and I used this a couple of times during my stay. Easily getting a spot both times. The pool bar was busy both times as had great atmosphere. Especially on the Sunday during the bottomless lunch when there was a DJ. Overall, very happy with my stay here. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was in a great location and stylish however the lack of storage in rooms was glaring. Furthermore, the building seemed to leak considerably during a brief rain show that meant buckets were placed across the building.

everything was perfect - to the size and cleanliness of the room to the staff assistance at checkin and checkout. Its my new favourite place to stay in SYD! The only point I'd make is it would be great to have water provided in the fridge.

Security of bags being kept by staff prior to check in was concerning. I tried to check in at 1:45pm (15 minutes prior to the check in time) and the room was still not ready. When I returned to check in at 5:45pm, my bags were still left in the lobby and not in our room.

Great Location and Value

Great location near Paddington, Surry Hills and short walks to Double Bay etc. Great onsite bar - Busby's where the staff are friendly and accomodating. Front desk are lovely and helpful. Also a great pool and bar to enjoy cocktails and food on a balmy sunny evening. Well priced for the smaller room which was all I needed when conducting business during the day. The room I was in was a little musty but the building is old and it had been raining lots! No leaks in room luckily.
