"The hotel was lovely. We were greeted cheerfully and told the breakfast times and reminded not to forget our room key when going out as the room door once shut can only be opened with a key. Our room was very spacious, a really comfortable bed and a nice sized bathroom. There were also sufficient coat hangers in the wardrobe. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were provided in the room. Breakfast provided a good choice of hot and cold food and the staff were lovely. The reception is manned from 8am to 8 pm. The only one issue is parking. If people park sensibly in the car park there is room for 7 cars. You can also park on the street and the staff asked for our car reg as there are cameras. The village is lovely and the castle well worth a visit. There is also a wonderful beach so great place for walking and dogs are very welcome in hotel rooms and restaurants and cafes."
