Gal at the front desk was very friendly for check in. Hotel smelled faintly of smoke, but so do a lot of hotels. Rooms were pretty clean for the most part, you could just tell they were a few years out dated. Had a nice continental breakfast. Pleased with our stay.

Room had no toilet tissue and no towels. This made us assume the room was also unclean or that the very minimum was done to make sure it was clean. Disappointed.

We had a late check in, night staff was great, check in was easy. We were gone most of the next day, no maid service whatsoever. The bathroom was so tiny the door rubbed on the toilet. Due to the curved shower rod, the door could not open all the way. Side door was not locked from the outside which would allow anyone to walk in. Indoor pool was not functioning, yes, they made arrangements to go elsewhere, but that defeats the purpose of having one where you are staying.

Our family stayed here along with my sister's family and we both felt that this hotel was quite unkempt! The room was ok (but the sheet didn't even fit over the mattress; gross!) and there were stains on the carpeting and chair. The pool was warm-ish with no chlorine smell (good, or bad??!!) The paint on the pool windows was almost all chipped off, there were spider webs/nests in the windows and bugs in the pool area. The hot tub looked fine but was cordoned off with duct tape and said out of order. The elevator was out of order. The 2nd floor banister/railing was broken out of the wall. The breakfast was so-so (fake scrambled eggs? and the same every day of my sister's 3-day stay.) Overall, I would NEVER stay there again. It was too yucky for me. I only saw 1 staff at the front desk and a cleaner. The back entrance door was open and didn't lock. (yikes!) To pay that much and be in the condition it was is a real "rip-off" I would say. Sorry, but there was not much (if any??) Quality in that Quality Inn!!!!

Quality Inn Dubuque, IA

Pros: It was located close to the event we were to participate in.
Cons: The pool was closed for repairs.
Location: We were there for my daughter to participate in a volleyball tournament. It is also close to downhill skiing and the Museum of the Mississippi River.
Clean, Comfortable and Warm. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included.
