I would NOT recommend this holiday Inn, We are extremely disappointed!! We splurged and updated to a suite. The room was was not what we expected for the price!! The microwave handles were filthy and loaded with others grime and food!! The coffee pot was not cleaned and dirty with old coffee grounds!! The one bed was noisy and had no support!! The worst part was the overwhelming SMELL of varnish or stain which gave me and my companion a headache. We had to leave the building to get fresh air. We talked to the front desk and NOTHING or NOBODY checked the smell out!! Other guest noticed and one gentleman said he had NO running WATER!! SERIOUSLY!?? Oh, did I mention neither of our room phones worked and front desk did NOTHING!! Isn't that a fire safety hazard?? Please, Please..... address these concerns for the safety and well being of your guest As for me I won't be back!!!

Paper thin walls. Next door cursing/fighting couple. Sink partially clogged, slow to drain, one single tissue/kleenex and took 2 requests over 2 days to replenish. Zero maid service so no replacement in-room coffee/tea. Ridiculous pricing for the poorest Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed in since the 1970’s!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The elevator was very slow and dirty. The room was ok the beds comfortable, but bathtub needed cleaned and the door in bathroom had a hole in it. The toilet seemed like didn't flush right unless held the handle down. When had breakfast next morning went down about 8 and sausage was overcooked and the milk was outdated.

I require cleanliness, quietness, and safety. This facility was dated, dirty, loose bathroom tiles, sour/urine-smelling bathroom (like a bad nursing home), dirty and loose carpets, and was noisy late late into the night. If asked, "would I send a friend here"? The answer is no. Oh and don't forget the woman at the desk telling a coworker she had covid. Really? Come to work with covid?

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but we can tell it needs renovated. Lots of carpeting problems. The breakfast food was really good and all the people were friendly in the eating area and at the front desk.

Quick trip to Iowa

The hotel staff were very kind. The hotel room was very clean. However, the hallway leading to the elevator and the front desk needed some attention. This is first impression with guests so you want to make it look great. The breakfast smelled amazing. We weren’t able to enjoy the breakfast because her had somewhere to be. Would def stay again.

Do better Holiday Inn

Stayed in a king suite. The room itself wasnt bad except for right outside the window the pillar from the building was right there so that was our view. I didntbreally expect a great view though, i mean it was Dubuque, Iowa. Bathtub in my suite had standing water when using shower. Went down to use hot tub while my son swam and hot tub was out of order. Elevator was out of date on their inspections by months. The elevator floor was filthy with food and trash that a vacuum could have solved. The front desk staff clearly did not want to be there. The pancakes at breakfast were not done- the machine was not working properly. Had to ask breakfast staff to fill bacon, eggs, juice machine more then once while several guests were waiting and asking them to bring out more food as well. Pull out couch in my suite was so uncomfortable that my son got no good rest at all after being up all day for a wedding and then at a reception that night. We asked for more towels and staff said we dont have extra. Wow!!! Only good thing i have to say about my stay was location to wedding and reception i was there for. Will not return. I do not recommend! A multimillion dollar company such as Holiday Inn and this is how you run business?! Not a good look Holiday Inn, not a good look.

The bathroom had tile floor that was cracked, some of the tiles were loose. The door to the room would lock properly. Had to pull on the door hard to get it to latch otherwise you could push the door open.

I was very appreciative for their help on that, not sure why I was charged double price each night to begin with, but it was resolve as far as I know now. We stay at a lot of hotels in our travels and we came in late from the concert and the hotel hallways, elevators and vending area was not clean as I would expect. If course the price was increased for the concert but your facility was not the experience I felt justified the price. I am giving you 2 stars. Try to do better your a Holiday Inn.
